Visual Merchandising became one of the major tool of business promotion which is
widely used to attract customers and increase sales. The store windows were often used to
attractively display the store's merchandise. The purpose of such visual merchandising is to
attract, engage, and motivate the customer towards making a purchase. Visual merchandising
commonly occurs in retail spaces such as retail stores. Visual merchandising can convert
shoppers into buyers and increase sales through various strategies which can make them to buy
the product The shopper can be motivated by proper presentation of the products in store a Store
Layout can also motivate shoppers to buy the product Visual merchandising inspires shoppers by
suggesting how items go together. Select display pieces based on lifestyle, age group, color etc.
As mentioned in the case of River Island the Front zone‘s are used to show off the
newest arrivals and best selling items. In terms of merchandising along with garment the
accessories, shoes and add ons are displayed that motivates to buy a whole outfit. Store managers
are responsible or keep displaying the new items throughout the week. Lighting is another

well considered. There are numerous products that offer many choices for shopping

Hence retail stores should pay more attention on the above factors as they are most
important ones that would help in increasing the sales of the product.
