English Role models. I’ve been thinking this week about all of the heroes, key workers and inspirational individuals that have helped us through this torrid time.
But what makes a role model? What makes them inspirational and what qualities do they have? I thought that we could have a focus on them this week. https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resource/tf-or-49-we-are-all-different-inspirational-people-powerpoint
https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/28078694 What does ‘inspire’ mean?
Discuss what inspiration and being inspirational means.
Think about what makes an inspirational person. Talk to
your family to get their ideas as well as your own.
Using the outline template on page 2, write on the inside
behaviours and traits that make people inspiring. On the
outside, write what actions people can do to show how to
be inspirational. As a challenge, rank them in
order of importance.
Who is regarded as inspirational?
Using the link below, have a look at some of the people that have been described as inspirational. https://www.twinkl.co.uk/resourc
e/tf-or-49-we-are-all-different-inspirational-people-powerpoint What do you notice about each
of these people? Are there similarities / differences?
Using this powerpoint, create an extra slide (use ta piece of paper if you like) using the information given in the activities provided.

What is so inspiring about it?
Discuss it with your family and discuss ideas on how we can
support it.
Inspiring people in your life
Using your work from the previous days, think about who has inspired you in your life.
What have they inspired you to do / want to do?
Write a paragraph about this. You may want to talk about –
- who they are. - what they do. - what is inspirational about them. - what they have inspired you to do.
Postcard
During this time, it is so important to tell people how wonderful, supportive and
inspirational they are.
Using your ideas from the yesterday, write a postcard,
email or letter to your inspirational person.
I guarantee it will make their day
and smile!
