Your Christmas test will last for 1 hour.

There will be 2 sections; a Reading Section and a Writing Section.

Reading Section

In this section, you will be asked to read Act 2 Scene 2 of Macbeth and

answer questions about the passage.

The questions will be:

Fact finding questions on what you have read.

Questions that ask you for your opinion on what you have read.

Questions that test your understanding of the characters of Macbeth

and Lady Macbeth.

Questions that test your understanding of the plot of the play.

*You will have the opportunity to gain extra marks through correct spelling

punctuation and grammar in the reading section.*

Writing Section

In this section, you will be asked to write a MONOLOGUE as if you are a

character from the passage you read about in the reading section.

This section will test:

Your understanding of the character you have to write as.

Your understanding of the plot of the play.

Woods

Revise different types and groups.

There are 2 groups. Hardwoods & Softwoods. Be able to name 3 of each.

Hardwoods come from Deciduous Trees (loose their leaves)

Softwoods come from Coniferous trees (Evergreen)

Man-Made Boards can also be called “Manufactured Woods”

Examples of these are Birch Plywood (your project was made from this).

Be able to name 3 and explain how they are made.

You joined your lid to the box using “Butterfly Hinges”.

You finished your plywood off using wax and steel wool or Danish oil. It

was then polished using a cloth.

*For the final question you will get a design brief and be asked to design a

product.

The brief will be given one week before the exam and you can then carry
