● Dress & clean up daily, as though you are going to campus.
● Move your body for 30+ minutes daily, outside preferably.
● Connect with your loved ones virtually for 30 minutes daily.
● Maintain a healthy eating plan, stay hydrated, resist
overindulging in comfort food & drink, or remember to eat!

● Attempt a project, maybe one you’ve been putting off.
● “Clock out” at the end of your class/study time.
Emotional

uncertainty.
● Find lightness and humor in each day.
● Notice the good in the world, the helpers; become one.
● Reach out for help when needed.
● Release emotions through art.
● Remind yourself this is temporary and will pass.
● Be kind to yourself through this process, lower your
expectations, and practice radical self-acceptance.
Academic Self CareHere are a few tips and tricks to stay focused during this transition to online instruction.
Tips for Online Classes
● Get up at your normal time or at least an hour before
your class starts to prepare.
● Find a comfortable and quiet spot in the house where
you stay focused.
● Before the class starts gather needed materials like:
○ Snacks
○ Water / Coffee / Smoothies
○ Notebooks, Pens, Pencils, iPad, Laptop, Phone
○ Headphones
○ Blanket
● Try to stay off your phone just as you would for your in-
person classes
● If you have questions, prepare to ask them out loud or
type them up as soon as you think of them.
Note Taking Tips
It’s definitely harder now that we’re at home and not
physically in class. This should reflect what you already
do in class.
● Use a designated notebook for each of your
classes.
● Color code using bright colors.
● You don’t have to write down everything the
professor does but just the important items.
● Cross reference using the textbook or any other
reliable sources.
● ASK QUESTIONS!
