Electronic Flight Bag (EFB)

Our EFB solutions are designed to:

EFB is electronic information management software that helps flight crews perform flight management tasks more easily and efficiently, in a less-paper environment. EFB software can calculate a variety of aviation data or perform calculations (e.g., Takeoff performance, Landing performance, Weight and Balance calculations, etc.). EFBs can electronically store and retrieve documents required for flight operations, such as the General Operations Manual (GOM), Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL), Operating Manual (Part A), Operating Manual (Part B) and other controlled documents/data. One of the major motivators for using an EFB is to reduce or eliminate the need for paper and other reference materials in the cockpit. In the past, some of these functions were traditionally accomplished using paper references or were based on data provided to the flight crew by an airline's "flight dispatch" function.

Portable electronic devices (PC based computers) can integrate a wide range of software applications, contributing to replace time-consuming paper manual methods, and therefore improving data accuracy and flight crew productivity.

EFB Software Applications Strongpilot Pilot Digital Station (Cover all Module) is a Windows based tool. Behind the interface the software uses manufacturer aircraft databases as well as calculation programs from aircraft manufacturer, certified by the authorities.

All Strongpilot software based on AC120-76A / JAA Leaflet No 36 requirements. All data may be updated via local and/or internet from the server (customer) with only one key press after installation of Pilot Digital Station.

Strongpilot offers a fully integrated EFB Class-1 and Class-2 software solutions for Pilot Digital Station which includes the at least;

Takeoff Performance Takeoff Performance tool calculates takeoff performance parameters based on the aircraft manufacturer’s performance algorithms (Manufacturer-provided SCAP modules), operator-specified policies, and applicable regulations. Advanced optimization techniques are used in order to maximize performance.

Airlines need to optimize the performance characteristics of their aircraft in order to achieve maximum return on investment. Optimum takeoff calculations maximize payloads; reduced thrust power settings increase engine life; rapid access to engine-out procedure information, while automatically allowing for MEL items, increases safety and saves time.

Landing Performance Landing performance tool provides for the detailed analysis of the landing performance

capabilities of transport category aircraft.

Performance tool calculates landing performance parameters based on the aircraft

manufacturer’s performance algorithms (Manufacturer-provided SCAP modules), operator-

specified policies, and applicable regulations. Advanced optimization techniques are used in

order to maximize performance.

Digital Documentation The Document Viewer adapts to the documentation technology used by the operator, providing an extension to the investment already made in digital documentation and allowing that documentation to be utilized effectively on the flight deck. Search function is included.

Smart Forms, Company reporting (announcements, bulletins etc.). This application facilitates the completion of various forms on the EFB. Data are collected for offload and input into ground-based systems. A set of forms (Bird strike, GPWS, Servicing Log, Delay Log, Fuel Log, etc..) is provided with the form library. Additionally, custom forms can be designed to meet specific requirements.

System allows uploading any form automatically and sending these forms to the predefined/requested addresses.

Exam Preparation and Exam Module Strongpilot Exam Preparation module is a test making, test taking and test grading application that lets you generate, update and administer unique tests. Snowtam decode gives a quick and easy conversion from the transmitted Snowtam into plain English. Kind of deposit, depth and contamination as well as resulting braking action/Braking action coefficients are all translated into the international scale. A braking action table is included for those stations not reporting a Snowtam for quick reference.
