Summer Reading 2015 Looking Ahead… New for the 2015-16 School Year STRHS/Middle School Library Teacher Newsletter Research has shown that students who do not en- gage in summer learning lose academic skills. By encouraging students to participate in summer read- ing, we are helping stu- dents keep up their reading skills. Thank you all for your con- tinued support. Summer Reading is back! The high school summer reading program will stay largely the same for this year. There is one minor change– students this year will be able to submit at digital poster instead of a billboard. Please note: students that submit a digital version will not be eligible for the summer reading prizes. The digital submissions will be grades in the same way using the same criteria as the paper billboards. All the other summer read- ing requirements for the high school will stay the same. You can find the full assignment online at www.stgrsd.org/strhs. The rising 7th and 8th grades also have summer reading requirements. There is a list of books that student can choose from.
