Similarities: Odette Sansom, Chico Mendez and Aung San Suu Kyi were/are all prisoners. They all fought for ordinary people against powerful governments and/or businesses. They all loved/love their own country. They all had young families, but they fought hard for other people. They all had good and unusual ideas. Suu and Odette both won prizes for their courage. Differences: The stories happened at different times in history. Only Chico Mendez was killed because of his work. Suu’s prison was in her own home. Odette was fighting in a big war. Chico was fighting for the Earth’s future. Odette’s fight is finished, but Chico’s and Suu’s continue.
