TEMPERATURE SWITCH PNEUMATIC

DESCRIPTION

Temperature switches are used to ensure that spitting or dripping will not occur on start-up.

The pneumatic temperature switch is designed for use with pneumatic control system and will close bleed-off port ontemperature rise at approximately 200°F. This will allow pneumatic actuator to operate.

INSTALLATION

The switch should be installed between separator and steam trap (see drawing) as close to the separator as possible.For multiple distributor humidifiers the temperature switch should be placed prior to the steam trap on the steamsupply line feeding the steam jacketing.

The switch is a well type with ½" NPT threaded connection (tee 3/4" x 3/4" x ½" required).

The bleed-off port has a 1/4" NPT connection. It has to be installed in the pneumatic line between control valve andhumidistat. Maximum distance between switch and bleed-off port (length at capillary tube) is approximately 42inches.

TEMPERATURE SWITCH ELECTRIC

DESCRIPTION

Temperature switches are used to ensure that spitting or dripping will not occur on start-up.

The electric temperature switch is designed for 24V/120V and will close on temperature rise at approximately200°F.

The probes are of all welded stainless steel construction with seal to ensure hermeticity. Switch design andconstruction provide high vibration and shock resistance.

INSTALLATION

The switch should be installed between separator and steam trap (see drawing) as close to the separator aspossible. For multiple distributor humidifiers the temperature switch should be placed prior to the steam trap onthe steam supply line feeding the steam jacketing.

The switch is a well type with ½" NPT threaded connection.

The switch has 12" long lead wires to connect to the external wiring and threaded coupling for conduit connection.

Switch wiring should be done according to following diagram.

Maximum Operating Pressure: 170 psig (1.2 mPa)

Installation: Suitable full-port isolation valves should be placedaround trap to permit servicing. The trap should beinstalled below the equipment drainage connection in ahorizontal position so that the bucket will rise and fallvertically. If installed in exposed locations,consideration should be given to insulatingthe trap.

Maintenance: This product is factory sealed for tamper-proofoperation, and no repair parts are available. Completeisolation of the trap from both supply and return line isrequired before the trap is removed.
