Local Presence:

All World Sports has been the lead baseball tournament operator in Northern Nevada for more than a decade, and has run two of the largest adult slow pitch events in Northern Nevada for nearly the same period. AWS has established itself as one of the most significant operators of events in the western half of the United States, and has created three hubs of business. Northern Nevada, the Greater Sacramento Region, and the SF Bay Area (predominantly throughout the East Bay).

AWS began running events in Northern Nevada in the mid 2000’s, beginning in Carson City (at the time, running the events under AthruZ Baseball and AthruZ Softball). This was their operating name when they served as State and National Director for USSSA Baseball and ran significant USSSA slow pitch events. Initially, AWS ran baseball events in Northern Nevada when there was not much local support in the way of local academies to support the business. With only a small handful of local organizations, they relied heavily on bringing in teams from other regions. It was a very slow build, and looked upon as somewhat of a loss leader to build and create a marketplace. Slow pitch, on the other hand, was already thriving the minute AWS brought events into the region, so to differentiate themselves, AWS partnered with Carson City to create an adult softball Midnight Madness event, which every Memorial Day Weekend has been a staple in Northern Nevada ever since. This event is perennially one of the largest events in the western half of the United States.

In 2010, the ownership and management team resigned from USSSA to create a business entity with the means to continue running events as an independent organization. This independent, “All World Sports” has since partnered with AAU to become their entity responsible for the growth and expansion of AAU Baseball, as well as running AAU basketball events. In the future, AWS will build an AAU girls fast pitch program with national oversight. Another partnership AWS has created is with Next Level Sports Solution, Inc. NLSS features the recruiting, showcasing, player development camps and

technology infrastructure that was missing in the AWS business model. The strategic partnerships of all three of these entities enables AWS to effective grow a national business in all three of the diamond sports, providing directors with an infrastructure of support unparalleled in the industry. These partnerships also enable AWS to become extremely effective in the management of global sports complexes, as it enables them to bring in the most effective leaders in all the respective sports, and provide the value-added infrastructure these operators need and desire.

AWS has built a significant brand loyalty throughout the Northern Nevada region, and has created tremendous economic impact for the entire region. We currently run baseball tournaments twelve weekends per year and every event reaches maximum capacity. We have six dates grandfathered to us at Golden Eagle Park in Sparks, seven date in Carson City, and five weekends in Reno (some of these overlap). We also run 4 slow pitch tournaments annually in Northern Nevada, two of them branded as some of the largest events in the West. (the aforementioned Midnight Madness in Carson City and Boneyard Midnight Madness in Reno/Sparks in early July annually.)

We have created tremendously loyal business allies and equally as important, friends in the Northern Nevada area with the ownership of the local baseball academies. Each and every owner’s name and contact information will be furnished upon request. AWS is invested into the success of the local academies and, in turn, the local leagues as these families and kids who support them will be our customers for the next fifty years. Each of these academies understand our business model has always been beyond the “running teams through the assembly line” as we are sincerely invested in all their success personally and professionally.

Our events bring in tremendous economic impact into Northern Nevada. In the City of Reno, we have long-standing relationships with the sales organizations at the Grand Sierra

Pembroke Recreational Complex

Hotel, the Peppermill, and Silver Legacy/Circus Circus properties within the El Dorado Group. We will be happy to furnish the names of our contacts at each property to demonstrate our impact and more importantly, our growth.

Our organization takes great pride in the fact that our growth the last seven years has been the fruits of our hard work, tenacity, and relationship-building. The horizon is infinitely brighter with our new 2016 partnership with Next Level Sports Solutions and 2017 partnership with AAU. Our reach in baseball up to this point has been predominantly the four of five states surrounding California and Nevada. Becoming a true partner with The AAU allows our reach to become much more significant, and attract teams from throughout the country/international.

AWS has also been able to utilize our contacts within our local Nevada Baseball/Softball family to create relationships with many great future partners in other areas of our Pembroke Project. Ryan Sheltra, whom we have been very happy to know well over the years, will be part of our Entertainment Leadership Group at Pembroke, having extensive experience in that arena. Richard Jay is another dynamic individual we have been privileged to get to know over the time in Nevada, and we intend for him and a group he leads to oversee our soccer component at the complex. Mike Mazzaferri is a golf professional that members our organization have known for many years and highly recommend to lead our golf operations and training within the Pembroke development and operations plan.

The team of leaders for each channel and our group have many things in common, including strength of character. But, we believe the most important aspect this operational group brings to the City of Reno is an interest to put Reno and the Northern Nevada Region first. All of us desire to make this facility a destination all the residents can be proud of, utilize and reduce the burden on existing over scheduled fields. This group also understands the big picture of bringing in some of the most significant regional and national events across

all sports to support the economy of Reno. This group understands that we will engage Corporate America to utilize the facilities and there may be sacrifices in a sport on a given week or weekend for the betterment of the community or economy.

The leadership of All World Sports, Jay Zetz and Ed Feldman are very excited to be one of the leaders in this tremendous project, and have assembled a team who all have the same long history to Northern Nevada and Reno as we do. This team will work with City Council, Neighborhood Groups, Parks and Recreation, local youth leagues, as well as national sports organizations to make sure the goals of a final agreement are met and your city is well served.

Project Summary

In 2015, John Courtney, ASLA, LEED-AP provided a Sports Fields Needs Assessment for the Town of Gilbert, Arizona. Extensive research, analysis, community input, interviews, focus groups and public feedback sessions resulted in a comprehensive calculation of the current and projected future needs of the community based upon actual utilization data. Research and planning efforts determined that the community would need 37 new sports fields by 2035. By 2016, the Town had acquired a land parcel of 225 acres (added to the contiguous 47 acres the Town already owned) from Maricopa County Regional Flood Control District for the purpose of multi-agency recreational and drainage use. The Town needed to outreach to the community to determine the needs and preferences for recreation programming and facilities for the park. The Town prepared an RFP for professional services and hired Courtney’s firm in collaboration with a large multi-disciplinary design firm to deliver a comprehensive outreach, research and master planning effort to develop designs, cost estimates and operational estimates. The planning team prepared comprehensive outreach plans and detailed schedules, and executed a well-organized outreach plan that provided overwhelming support for the the final plans from the participants, and support by staff and council for the objectives. A conceptual plan that provided 18 sports fields, lakes, multi-use trail systems, community recreation buildings, swimming pools, outdoor educational opportunities and comprehensive recreation amenities was developed based on the input. The Town Council approved the master plan in August 2016.

Project Summary

The City of Davis is a community that has growing sports partici-pation and organizations, generating recreation programs, com-petitive travel clubs, regional tournament play and a large youth and adult baseball, soccer and softball programs. The City rec-reation department recognized that numerous year-round clubs had emerged over the years, creating a desire a for major reno-vations to their sports park to build a year-round practice and competition synthetic turf dedicated soccer field and to improve the concourse between all the fields.

The dream came to fruition in 2008, when a Land and Water Conservation Grant was awarded to the Planning Department for the purpose of converting an existing irrigated grass field into a water conserving synthetic field. John Courtney had experience with designing synthetic fields at other sites in the region, so the City hired his firm to replace the soccer field and engineer light-ing systems at Playfields Park. A unique, custom-designed field cooling system was prepared so that the field could be cooled in minutes between matches. In Davis the summer/early fall heat can be intense, so this solution was necessary for the synthetic fields to achieve optimal utilization.

A few years after the field renovation the City had saved enough money to replace all the concrete terrace seating areas, ADA ramps and walkways throughout the site. The firm provided de-tailed demolition and renovation plans for the concrete, irriga-tion, lighting and landscape improvements.

Project Summary2017 will be the 6th Annual All World Sports Summer World Series hosted in Northern Nevada. Annually this event has grown, and hit its peak of 130 teams in 2016. This event utilizes fields in the cities of Reno, Carson City and Sparks Nevada. In 2016, the sports complexes utilized included Reno Sports Complex, Golden Eagle Sports Complex (Sparks, Nevada), and three Carson City sports complexes, Centennial Park Complex, Edmonds Sports Complex, and Governors Field. Each year, this has been a four-day event and in 2016, just in the host hotels in the City of Reno, the event averaged 700 room nights per night. This does not account for teams staying outside the host hotels within Reno, and teams that lodged in Carson City and Sparks.2017 will feature a new partnership in this event with the Reno Aces to host opening ceremonies during their Thursday night July 13th home game and a player development camp on Tuesday July 11th on their home field prior to our World Series. We have also partnered with Wild Island Family Adventure Park to bring more family fun into our event with discount offerings.2017 will also become a five-day to accommodate for anticipated growth. Our recent partnership with AAU, and our plans to rebrand this event in either 2018 or 2019 to the AAU Western Nationals is setting the stage for this growth. We are working with all our host hotel properties to make hotel stay at selected properties “stay to play” for this event and are committed to enforcing that with the help of RSCVA beginning in 2018.

Pacific Avenue Athletic ComplexYuma, Arizona

Project SummaryThe City of Yuma (City) is uniquely positioned to provide a major sports ield complex that will have the potential to attract signi icant regional sports tournaments and tourism. The Paci ic Avenue Athletic Complex (PAAC) will augment the amenities offered by the Riverfront Regional Park, serve multiple community needs, and embody the priorities of health, safety, and welfare. The PAAC is a 49-acre site located on the northwest corner of Paci ic Avenue and 8th Street. This site is visible from I-8 and will further enhance Yuma’s historic downtown area, retail, hospitality, and mall district. The PAAC is comprised of:

Six lighted softball ields for league and tournament play Batting cages 5,000-SF concessions/restroom building Playground areas Large and small ramada areas

Multi-use turf area Landscape and hardscape areas Lighted walking paths Irrigation storage lake and water feature 3,200-SF maintenance facility with 15,000-SF maintenance yard

The underlying theme for the design of the PAAC is convergence. Historically, Yuma served as a point in the American Southwest where people once traveled from more than 1,000 miles away in all directions to cross the Colorado River. The PAAC allows this site to return to its history of convergence, a gathering point of diverse groups with similar interests. The common interest here is softball, in which teams from across the country converge to share in the sport. The Convergence theme in luenced the design and visual quality of the athletic complex.

Jay ZetzPresidentAll World Sports

The President and CEO of All World Sports, Jay Zetz is also one of the co-founders of Next Level Sports Solutions. Jay is a 3rd generation native to the Sacramento region and all generations have significant ties to building the local baseball community. Jay’s grandfather, John Zetz helped build one of the first little leagues in the market and coached many future stars in the area. Jay’s Uncle Dave Torgerson is an ex-professional ball player who also coached and mentored many future stars in the area. Jay’s father Don Zetz is another ex-pro ballplayer in the family tree. Lastly, Jay himself played ball at Sacramento City College before injuries cut his playing career short.

In 1997, Jay formed AthruZ Lead and Marketing Service to assist companies in the real estate and mortgage business. In 1999, Jay began running independent adult softball tournaments under the AthruZ umbrella, and in 2000, Jay joined USSSA as a director. By 2002, Jay became the largest director in Northern California, and that distinction is still in place today, although his events span into Nevada as well. USSSA approached Jay in 2006 to become State Director for youth baseball tournaments, and after two years in that role, grew the market by over 120%. In 2008, Jay became one of six National Directors for USSSA, and continued to grow his local tournament business year after year through 2009.

In 2010, Jay resigned from his post at USSSA to launch a new independent tournament organization, All World Sports. Jay’s aspirations were to build a business worthy of expanding nationally while continuing to grow in its local footprint. Jay knew by resigning from USSAA, All World would lose the rights to run events at exclusive USSSA complexes such as Big League Dreams and shortly afterwards, Twin Creeks Sports Complex. This could have caused All World to regress drastically, but due to innovations in the tournament business, creating unique signature events, superior

targeting marketing and the best customer service in the industry, All World Sports has continued to grow year over year. Currently, All World Sports runs over 150 youth baseball tournaments in Northern California/Northern Nevada, over 50 adult slow pitch tournaments in the same footprint, including four of the largest events west of the Mississippi River with an aggregate total of approximately 700 teams, and is now venturing into the girls fast pitch and youth basketball tournament marketplace. All World Sports serves over 1000 baseball teams locally every year, and runs events 50 weeks a year. Events spread across locations in their footprint range from 40 teams per weekend to 200 teams per weekend. They average approximately 80 teams per weekend. Over the course of the year, this equates to roughly 1,000 players per weekend and 50,000 (many repeat) players coming to All World tournaments each year. Jay has succeeded in leaving USSSA and building his own independent association, something an extraordinarily small percentage of entrepreneurs have been able to accomplish. Jay has since reached an agreement (current 2017) to now have All World Sports as the Cal-Neva State Director for USSSA Slowpitch Softball.

Edward FeldmanNational DirectorAll World Sports

Edward Feldman is the National Director of All World Sports and co-founder of Next Level Sports Solutions. Edward has a significant resume in sales, management and marketing prior to coming aboard All World Sports. After finishing his academic career at San Francisco State University, Edward became a Principal at HEF Restaurant Consultants where he handled site selection and lease negotiation for a large national restaurant chain. Edward transitioned to a position at Bay Meadows Racetrack where he eventually became Director of Sales and Director of Fan Education. Other significant positions Edward held included National Project Manager for Classroom Connect, a leader in the e-learning environment, and Advertising Manager for multiple channels within the San Francisco Examiner Newspaper.

In 2006. Edward was coaching a travel ball team and brought that team to an AthruZ Baseball event. He ran into his old friend Jay, and when they reconnected, Edward asked Jay if he could run a handful of baseball tournaments as a fundraiser to bring his team to Cooperstown. After successfully running some quality events, Edward was given the opportunity to build a nice side business for himself by running more and events each year. In 2009, Jay approached Edward with the idea of leaving USSSA and building All World Sports. Jay offered Edward the position of National Director, a full time position charged with creating strategies and overseeing the sanctioning body of All World. In 2010, Edward put his suits in the closet and began his career with All World. Many of the great innovations put in place, the strategic partners All World has brought in, and the loyal relationships of many of the largest academies were a result from Edward’s efforts. Edward was tasked with creating the plan for All World’s national expansion, and with the creation of Next Level Sports Solutions, Edward brought

the concepts to take an extremely successful regional business into a potential major player in the national landscape. The innovations NLSS brings into the youth sports market are the distinguishing traits and revenue generators that directors around the country would flock towards and bring their business under the All World Sports umbrella.

Edward and Jay have since forged multiple strategic partnerships, both as individuals and for their companies. They have both been contracted by the Principals of the Mather Sports Village to build and manage the baseball and softball operations for their significant sports development in Sacramento County.

The tandem has also created a strategic partnership between All World Sports and The AAU to help grow and develop baseball programs nationally under both sanctioning bodies. All World Sports will be the engine in this development process, and will have the support of all the Next Level Sports Solutions resources (also endorsed by AAU Baseball) to provide a “total” solutions for potential directors.
