Language Objective: I will write notes on citizen participation
Opening: Think about the government we talked about yesterday. If your parents are the central government, and you and your brothers and sisters are the regional governments. Then which type of government best describes your family: unitary, confederation, or federal? Explain your answer.
Autocracy
Definition:•One person possesses unlimited power.
Role of the citizen =
•The citizen has limited, if any, role in government.
Two Types of Autocracies
• a- Monarchy• Definition:
• Hereditary• King or Queen
• b- Dictatorship• Definition:• Not hereditary
• Usually holds power using military
Autocrats- Monarchy
• Example:• Louis XIV (14th!)
