We are trying to alleviate the pressures that SHSM students may face by providing access to certifications in the summer. The two opportunities are below: Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (including AED) both SFA and CPR/AED are compulsory certifications in ALL SHSM sectors This is a TWO-day course: Wednesday, July 6 th and Thursday, July 7 th This course is being held at the Catholic Education Centre: 80 Sheppard Avenue East Each day will begin at 9am and will conclude at 4pm Lunch will be provided Both days will be supervised by a member of the central SHSM team Leadership Skills – an elective certification in ALL SHSM sectors This is a one-day certification: Friday, July 8 th Students will be meeting at the Catholic Education Centre, 80 Sheppard Avenue East, at 8:45am Students will then board a charter bus to travel to the Toronto Regional Conservation Authority Lake St. George Field Centre for the training Students will return to the CEC at 4pm Lunch will be provided This excursion will be supervised by a member of the central SHSM team There is no cost for SHSM students to participate. Students will also receive round-trip TTC tickets for each day that they participate in an SHSM certification. Please complete all of the documents in this package and return them to your SHSM lead teacher or guidance counsellor by Thursday, June 23 rd , 2016.
