Page 1: Staff Profile Page Template

For consistency, CISL will use the Staffordshire University template (below) for organisation and member profiles, however CISL members will only be added to the CISL pages rather than to the central university database.

Some areas, for example current teaching, may not be applicable for all CISL members. Where you do not wish to fill these areas in or where it is not appropriate to do so, just leave these areas blank or write not applicable.

Please complete and send back to [email protected]

University Website Developments

Staff Profile Page Template

A template has been developed to provide details of individual University staff on the website. The main features of this development are:

Information will be provided by staff about themselves

The template has been developed in such a way as to provide both consistency and flexibility in its use

You are now asked to provide information in line with the following guidelines so that your Profile Page may be generated. Generally speaking, Profile Pages are intended to focus on professional activities and centre upon an individual’s University role, although this should also include relevant external work in a professional capacity.

A template that shows how the Personal Profile Pages is structured is given in Appendix 1. (Completed examples can be viewed at http://www.staffs.ac.uk/staff/profiles/kml1.jsp or http://www.staffs.ac.uk/staff/profiles/jh4.jsp) Please note the following with regard to this template:

Headings (the red text in the grey banners) will only appear if the fields are populated

A head and shoulders photograph of yourself at the top of the page is optional

Links at the top of the page (to the right of the photo box)are generated automatically when a title and text is entered for the relevant section

Links within the text to other web pages are to be avoided
