For consistency, CISL will use the Staffordshire University template (below) for organisation and member profiles, however CISL members will only be added to the CISL pages rather than to the central university database.
Some areas, for example current teaching, may not be applicable for all CISL members. Where you do not wish to fill these areas in or where it is not appropriate to do so, just leave these areas blank or write not applicable.

University Website Developments
Staff Profile Page Template
A template has been developed to provide details of individual University staff on the website. The main features of this development are:
Information will be provided by staff about themselves
The template has been developed in such a way as to provide both consistency and flexibility in its use
You are now asked to provide information in line with the following guidelines so that your Profile Page may be generated. Generally speaking, Profile Pages are intended to focus on professional activities and centre upon an individual’s University role, although this should also include relevant external work in a professional capacity.
A template that shows how the Personal Profile Pages is structured is given in Appendix 1. (Completed examples can be viewed at http://www.staffs.ac.uk/staff/profiles/kml1.jsp or http://www.staffs.ac.uk/staff/profiles/jh4.jsp) Please note the following with regard to this template:
Headings (the red text in the grey banners) will only appear if the fields are populated
A head and shoulders photograph of yourself at the top of the page is optional
Links at the top of the page (to the right of the photo box)are generated automatically when a title and text is entered for the relevant section
Links within the text to other web pages are to be avoided

Information that you need to ProvideIf you would like a Profile Page please provide the following information in a plain text (preferred) or word document to your nominated Faculty/School information co-ordinator.
Name: Your name as you would like it to appear, including title
Picture: Head and shoulders portrait – optional
This will need to be supplied electronically
Job Title and Responsibilities:
Your official job title
An overview of your responsibilities
About Me:
Written in the first person, this is up to 200 words of a personal summary of your professional work
Qualifications:
Your most relevant and/or highest level qualifications, with year of award, awarding body and grade/classification where available, title of PhD thesis etc
Professional Memberships and Activities:
A list of professional organisations of which you are a member and a note of particular roles and responsibilities that this might include
Expertise:
A short overview/description of your professional expertise (this may cover more than one area) – more detail can be given in subsequent sections so please keep this brief
Enterprise and Commercial Activities:
o Overview – brief summary of your enterprise and achievements, maximum of 200 wordso Projects – up to 100 words on each of your major enterprise projects, if these are funded
and/or collaborative say with who etc
Research Interests:
o Overview – brief summary of your research interests and achievements, maximum of 200 words
o Main Research Projects – up to 100 words on each of your major research projects, if these are funded say by who and how much

Selected Publications:
The style adopted at CISL is for profiles to only include the top 3 / top5 of your most recent or notable publications rather than a comprehensive listing of everything. If you wish to include a comprehensive listing, this will need to be submitted as a separate file divided into subsections:
