SCOTT Dear St. Paul Parish School Community I write after the resignation of Chris Sharp as Principal to help reassure our community the best I can. Like you, I was surprised and saddened by Mr. Sharp’s resignation. It is always difficult to face changes like this in the middle of the year. It is not only difficult because of the loss of someone we care about but also because it creates a sense of uncertainty and anxiety. We will be doing all we can to help maintain the continuity of quality education and prayerful service you have come to know and respect. I have asked the staff to help me in extending ourselves even more than we have in the past to be the faithful, optimistic servants Christ calls us to be. We have to find the hope of the resurrection in the difficult moments we face. As a matter of fact, it is precisely in these moments that we can have an even more profound experience of the grace of consolation than in our regular day-to-day lives. As we enter into Catholic Schools Week, I want each of you to take a moment to thank God for our Catholic School here at St. Paul. Pray for its on-going success and a future full of hope. It is my hope and desire that we are stronger than ever as we prepare for the coming academic year. To that end I want to reassure people that we are doing everything in our power to uplift and support our school long into the future. As partners in ministry doing what we can to support you as primary educators of your children, we will work hard every day to help you in your awesome task of raising these children of God. I will strive to be in on-going communication with you, and invite you to do your part to keep those lines of communication open. To that end, Kristin Dixon (Superintendent) and I plan to have our annual State of the School night on February 5, at 7:00pm. I want to thank all of our wonderful faculty and staff for all that they do. In particular, I want to thank Ana Foukimoana for saying “yes” to this interim Catholic Schools Week!
