August 29th amp 30th mdash 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time Jesus knew that he would face the cross Like Jesus life will

bring us to difficult places and we will face obstacles

Sometimes on our path of discipleship the obstacles are

within us I lsquom not gifted I donrsquot have the time I am home-

bound Sometimes the cross we are asked to carry is very

near to us praying for someone who annoys us taking the

trouble to recycle finding and buying fair trade products

learning about Church teaching on an issue that troubles us

po Ordinario Jesuacutes supo que enfrentariacutea la cruz Como a Jesuacutes la

vida nos traeraacute dificultades y enfrentaremos obstaacuteculos Algunas veces

en nuestro camino de discipulado los obstaacuteculos estaacuten dentro de noso-

tros no soy talentoso (a) no tengo tiempo no puedo salir de casa Al-

gunas veces la cruz que se nos pide cargar estaacute a nuestro alcance orar

por alguien que nos molesta tomarnos la molestia de reciclar encontrar

y comprar productos de comercio justo aprender sobre las ensentildeanzas

de la Iglesia sobre un asunto que nos preocupa iquestCuaacutel es su cruz a cargar

esta semana

September 1st onwards the Holy Mass will be cele-

first meeting will be this Thursday at 700 pm in the

Parish Hall We invite anyone interested in learning

more about Christianity as embodied In the Roman

Catholic Church to join us Meetings will be weekly

tentatively on Thursday although this day and time may

change depending on the needs of our attendees Please

note - this program is not only for those interested in

becoming Catholic but also for any current Catholics

that may feel they need to review their faith and recom-

ber 13th Feast of The Exaltation of the Holy Cross Every year on Good Friday a collection is taken up in

Catholic Churches to support the work of the Francis-

cans working in the Holy Land Christians there rely

heavily on the help that comes to them from this world-

wide collection This year since measures to prevent

the spread of the coronavirus prohibit gatherings in our

churches the traditional Good Friday Collection for the

Holy Land has been postponed to September 13th be

generous as always
