Dear parents,

Welcome to St. Francis Inter College. The goal of everyone at St. Francis Inter College is to ensure that your child does better than they think they could. We want your child feel happy, confident and supported throughout their education with us.

Our students are encouraged to enjoy school and thrive in a rich learning environment that is welcoming and in which students feel safe and valued. I am proud to lead a school where management and staff work together to provide the best education possible for the students. Certainly this means academic success in the CBSE board exams.

My staff know and value each individual student and this leads to a very high standard behaviour in school and in the society. We are proud of the friendly and caring environment of our school where good manners and high standards of behaviour are expected.

Principal

St. Francis Inter College was established in July 1972 by Most. Rev. Dominic Athaide O.F.M. Cap., then Archbishhop of Agra, in a rented building. It had a humble beginning with 20 students and 3 classrooms. Rev. Fr. Jose Maliekal was the founder Principal.

In 1973 Mission Sisters of Ajmer joined Hathras Mission at the invitation of the Archbishop. They continue to render their valuable service for the growth and development of the Institution and Hathras at large.

In 1983 Rev. Fr. Thomas K.K. then principal shifted the school from Munni Lal Ki Bagichi, Agra Road, Hathras to the present campus. The first batch of Class X passed out of the institution in 1986. The first batch of XII appeared for the Board Examination in March 1994.

With the blessing and laying down the foundation stone for the Yesu Christi Jayanti 2000 Jubilee Wing (present senior wing) by Rev. Fr. Jose Maliekal on 6th February 2005 the institution has an extended campus.

Rev. Fr. Sebastian Panthaladi, Rev. Fr. John Lewis, Rev. Fr. Vijayan. Rev. Fr. John Ferreira, Rev. Fr. Jose Akkara, Rev. Fr. Paul Thannickal, Rev. Fr. Mathew Thundiyil are the other Principals/Managers who dedicated their lives for the progress of the school.

We salute those Rev. Fathers, Rev. Sisters, Teachers and all those who rendered their sweat and life for the growth and welfare of the Institution. May God bless and reward them all.

St. Francis Inter College is a minority Christian Institution granted minority rights by the Article 30 of the Indian Constitution. The primary aim of St. Francis Inter College is to impart sound religious, moral and social formation to the members of the Christian community. It imparts education to all other students in tune with the national aspirations and makes them morally, socially, physically and mentally fit to become active, useful and worthy citizens of India.

Prospectus and registrations forms for admissions to L.K.G. will be available at the school office. A child who has completed 3.6 years to 4.6 years as on 1st April can apply for admission in the current academic year. There will not be any entrance examination. However at the time of admission both the parents should be present.

The date and time of identification are intimated (See the acknowledgment card) at the time of submitting the duly filled in Registration Form

The school authorities reserve all rights of admitting any child to the school. They are not bound to give reasons for admission or rejection of any particular child.

For Admission to higher classes, is based on vacancies available in each class and the admission is given on the basis of student aptitude test given priority to transfer cases. However, in respect of admission the decision of Principal is final and binding.

1. An attested photocopy of the Original birth certificate, issued at the time of birth by the Municipality, must be attached with the Registration Form.

2. Incomplete form will be rejected. Photocopy of the form will not be accepted. The Registration form is NOT TRANSFERABLE.

3. Date of birth once registered cannot altered. [(as per U.P.G.O. No. 1101/1(5)]

4. Recommendations of any kind will be a disqualification of admission.

The meeting /identification date and time are intimated at the time of submitting the duly filled forms. Change in date and time of meeting / identification will not be entertained.

The meeting is held for the identification of the candidates and parents more for security reasons than any other. During the meeting no academic tests are held, no questions are asked to measure the intelligence and knowledge of the child. Every child has right to go to school and we make no discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, sex, economic status or social status. However, we admit only as many as we can. This is a co-educational institution keeping 50% (fifty percent) seats for both boys and girls i.e. equality in seats in each class.

The candidates appearing for the meeting/identification should be accompanied by both the parents and not by any other relatives.

For the same please come along with the original Date of Birth Certificate and Acknowledgement Card.

After the meeting / identification of the candidates with their parents, the duly completed forms of the eligible candidates (over aged or under aged repeaters etc. are treated as non-eligible) are put to draw by lots. This is done before the school community, by the students, during the morning school assembly. The picked out names of the candidates for admission shall be displayed on the School Notice Board on a scheduled date.

1. Every pupil shall pay fees of 12 months.

2. Fees will be collected on quarterly basis .

3. Fees will be submitted in the bank.

All payments must be made before the date specified in the fee book. If the last date is a holiday payment must be made before that date. Parents must keep the receipts issued to them and produce them for proof of payment, if needed.

No child will be permitted to begin a new term unless all arrears due on his/her account have been cleared in full before the commencement of the new term. A student not paying fees will have to pay a fine of Rs. 25 per per month in addition to the arrears.

The school believes in allround education along with academics. It equally emphasize on activities like Speech, Singing, Dancing, Craft, Drawing, Races, Sports, Recitation, Fancy Dress etc. These activities are conducted throughout the year and the winners are awarded.

Our Institution has adequate space per student as well as has adequate Teachers for students which helps the teacher to focus on each and every student & have 2-way interaction between the two and makes sure to eliminate all hindrances in way to an effective communication.

STUDENTS VOICE

We have an active and engaged School Students Parliament that has strong voice within the school community. We believe that all students have the potentials to be leaders and it is our responsibility to nurture and develop those skills. Students are offered the opportunity to become student leaders and will go through a nomination process to secure this.
