Generations ago you lit the fire of faith through a mission to the children of immigrants in a small stone church. Lord Jesus, we ask you to help us to follow you and humbly serve you by welcoming and serving those most in need of your love. Fill us with your Holy Spirit and light our path. Keep us attentive to your word in the Scriptures and help us to recognize Christ in the breaking of the bread. May the lives we lead be our offering of love to you. We make our prayer in unity with all the Saints, especially through the intercession of St. Anne the grandmother of Jesus. Amen. The line that reads “Even though I walk in the dark valley / I fear no evil; for you are at my side / with your rod and your staff / that give me courage” (Psalm 23:4) connects this week’s scriptures to the wonderful story of the road to Emmaus, which we heard last week. The Lord Jesus, our Good Shepherd, is constantly at our side. He calls us each by name, beckoning us into a deeper relationship with him. That call, is- sued to each of us at the moment of our bap- tism, carries with it the promise of the Good Shepherd: “I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

The Cenacle will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Cenacle will end at noon. Father Tom Keller will again be our celebrant. We hope to see you. Please make every effort to attend and invite your friends and family. Dr. Rich-ard and Melanie Riley can be reached at 501-224-3949 for questions. God Bless! SERMON ON THE MOUNT - How “Blessed” Are You

If you were accused of being a Catholic, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Living the lessons of the Sermon on the Mount would make a strong case against you. St. Augustine called the teaching of the Sermon on the Mount the perfect standard of Christian life. Fr. Erik Pohl-meier will bring this teaching into our lives during a special 2 night presentation on Tuesday, May 9, & Wednesday, May 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the Holy Souls Parish Hall, 1003 N. Tyler Street, Little Rock. Please join us to see what might be your strengths and your weaknesses in living out the beatitudes each day.

Seminarian Keith Higginbotham As most of you know, Keith Higginbotham of our Parish, will be ordained a transitional deacon on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. here at St. Anne. In addition to the ordination, there will be a bilingual Holy Hour at 4pm to which all are welcome. We would like to invite the par-ish to come out and support Keith during this holy event. Because our parish is small and we have limited space, it would be helpful if you would call the parish to let us know if you will be attending. A reception will follow the Ordination in Mary's Hall.

Calling all Volunteers A sign up sheet is in the vestibule for volunteers who are able to help at our parish rummage sale, June 16 and June 17. Please offer some of your time and labor to help with this fund raising event. A meeting of volunteers will be held in the HFC on Wednesday, May 10. following the 6pm Mass.
