TAILWATER

As a start-up company in the fly-fishing garments industry, Tailwater first needed to clearly define their personality. Finding most of their competitors promoting an over-romanticized image of the sport, Tailwater needed something different. From the logotype and product catalog to garment hang-tags and packaging, we gave Tailwater a strong market entry — showing off innovative high-end products for the serious angler with a witty no-nonsense appeal.

NISQUALLY STONE

What do you do when a client produces a quality, fully-tested faux stone product that no one has yet installed on a home? This is the unique challenge we faced with Nisqually Stone. Because budgets did not allow for constructing an artificial home setting or complicated digital renderings, we decided instead to play up the “real thing” with beautiful photographs of real stone in its natural setting. This process inspired the

“True to Nature” positioning statement for the client. Yet another great example of necessity as the true mother of invention.

Now more fully developed, keeping McKenna’s brand intact across package design, advertising, direct mail, web graphics, vendor and in-house assets requires a watchful eye and a full-spool of imagination!

For most of McKenna’s product line, a simple and consistent use of just a few brand elements lets us keep it fun and fresh. This helps preserve the “McKenna look”— now recognized by shops and retail customers across the U.S. and around the world.

NEXT DOOR HOME SERVICES

When Dennis and Barbara Brumagin began the concept of a new home services business, they consulted us early in the planning stages.

With a focus on homeowners who are frequently away from their homes and need a watchful eye on security, maintenance, and upkeep, we devel-oped the Next Door Home Services name and positioning statement. We then crafted the company logo, capabilities brochure, stationery, printed sales materials, and website.

PacTool International is a premier designer and manufac-turer of industrial tools for the safe and efficient cutting and installation of cement-board siding products. From everything from print ads to video production, we’ve given PacTool a more compelling brand image and a common sense way to communicate their growing product line.

PIECE OF CAKE DESSERT COMPANY

Every once in a while, that dream client comes along. Dawn Kindred, owner of Piece of Cake Dessert Company, was one.

We created the “Laugh, cry, embrace, indulge!” positioning statement to bring together the emotional elements of a special event with the exquisite desserts Piece of Cake creates.

Inspired by iconic hand-frosted cake lettering, we embarked on a logo project (which, incidentally required several delicious test models!) Soon to follow were stationery, brochures, and of course, aprons.

Needless to say, we all put on a few extra pounds. Who wouldn’t?
