He listed seven different types of intelligences in that book: – Linguistic – Logical-mathematical – Musical – Bodily-kinesthetic – Spatial – Interpersonal – Intrapersonal

Compassion Wisdom
Love is a Bird with two wings…
So spiritual intelligence is acting with Love…

Our definition of Spiritual Intelligence
“Spiritual Intelligence is the ability to behave with Wisdom and Compassion while maintaining inner and outer Peace (Equanimity) regardless of the situation.”
It reflects an increasingly stable to connection to “something bigger than us” that is translating into the world of behaviors, habits and attitudes.

Quad 1 Quad 2
Quad 3 Quad 4
SQ involves a Shift from Operating from Ego to Operating
from Higher Self
©2000-2011 CPI/Deep Change, Inc. All Rights Reserved
Ego self Higher Self
Shift from Ego to Higher Self • Ego as described in spiritual literature
– Self-interest is narrow, focused on “me” and “my goals” (low empathy, low wisdom)
– Tendency to drama, negative thinking – Equals earlier stages of development and less healthy
expressions of the stages
• Higher Self – Expanded sense of who I am, sees interconnections,
sees systems, sees context – Wiser, calmer, transformational decisions possible

Quad 1 Skill 5: Awareness of Ego self / Higher Self
1 I have a basic understanding of that an ego self exists and that how it reacts to things is a result of my personal experiences since birth, including the influence of my family and my culture.
2 I can observe my own Ego in operation. I understand there is a difference between the desires of my Ego and of my Higher Self.
3 I can recognize the situations and types of people that trigger my Ego self to want to take charge. I recognize the signals my body gives me when my Ego has been triggered.
4 I can consistently hear the voice of my Higher Self. This may be a “felt sense” in the body, or an auditory or visual experience, or a combination. I may not hear it often, but I know it when I do. I am learning to listen to it. I understand how my thoughts and beliefs are creating the anger or fear I feel.
5 The voice of my Higher Self is now the principal voice I hear. Ego is now in joyful service to Spirit. I no longer feel a “tug of war” between these two parts of my self.

Development (SCTi/MAP):
Preliminary Results of 139 person data sample

Complexity of Reasoning1
• How many items do you take into account and how do you assemble them into a position?
• What do you consider as evidence? • Do you assess long-term effects? • What steps do you follow when evaluating? • What data do you use to support your stance? • How do you deal with ambiguity?

Development
My Conclusions • Higher STAGES are crucial to respond to
the Life Conditions we face in the world • Higher SQ is very highly correlated with
Higher STAGES • We need PQ, IQ, EQ and SQ to move to
Higher STAGES • SQ is a crucial skill set for world leaders
and evolved voters and citizens to develop
