Second Annual One Day of Wonder Event at OEC! On this day we celebrated Stevie Wonder’s birthday by honoring his music and talent, we spread love and followed through on our mission to care for all and honor diversity. Check out the pictures, generously taken by Mr. O, below! Students learned braille, played goal

ball, and enjoyed basketball – just a few of the events offered for the day! Huge thank you to all of our event leads including Mr. Woodman, Mrs. Johnston, Ms. Clark, Mark Johnson,

and many more!

It was a great week at OEC! 8th graders enjoyed NYC on their final trip. Mr. Sawyer completed his FINAL home and school parent meeting as his grandbaby Kyndall goes off to Central HS next year, our first ever school wide science fair was a success, and K-1 students enjoyed a little sunshine outside below. Have a great week ahead!

Families

The Classroom Environment

Planning and Preparation

Best Practices

Great job to Ms. Aly Cohen for pushing her students to respond in complete sentences and for coming back to students who incorrectly answered the question the first time so that they had to self correct with prompting.

Huge thank you to Ms. Sophia for arranging a trip for our students to attend the ROCK SCHOOL OF DANCE. Ms. Johnston’s class poses above with a dancer from the school. Remember that our goal was to attend one field trip per cycle with parent engagement. Let’s reflect and see how we did this year!

Mr. Pritchard did an excellent job of preparing students to explain exactly what it is they were learning and for having 100% of students engaged in the task at hand. Keep up the great work Mr. Pritchard!

May 31st – summer work is due. Kindly email your supply lists and summer work to Ms. Foote so that she can share with Mr. O to post on our school’s website. Thank you to all staff who have already submitted these!
