Gordy’s County Market was established in 1966 by Gordy and Donna Schafer on the south side of
Chippewa Falls, WI. The Schafer Family wanted to offer a local grocery store to meet the specific needs of
the people of the Chippewa Valley with fresh products, low prices and friendly service.
Over 50 years later, Gordy’s County Market still continues the traditions it was founded on, striving to meet
the needs of the 16 communities Gordy’s County Market now serves.
Gordy’s County Market in Ladysmith offers a full line grocery store with:
Meat Department
Fresh Produce
Frozen & Dairy Department
Fresh Bakery
Deli
Liquor
Western Union
Postage & Bill Paying Services
A major contribution to Ladysmith provided by Gordy’s County Market, making it a unique grocery
experience, is the 9th Street Café, offering a large selection of hot and cold items with hot soup every day
and the freshest salad bar in the area. 9th Street Café also offers full service catering.
As of July 2014, Gordy’s County Market in Ladysmith has added Gordy’s Express, a gas station that allows
our customers to take advantage of all of the Pump Perks discounts provided at so many of Gordy’s other
locations. Buy specific items that are marked for our Pump Perks Program and save at the pump!
The team at Gordy’s County Market is working hard to make the everyday chores of grocery shopping fun,
convenient and affordable. We look forward to seeing and serving you!

RECEPTION FOR 2015 RAAA
CALENDAR ART SHOW
The Rusk Area Arts Alliance is proud to
announce the 2015 Ladysmith History
Calendar. The original calendar artwork, by 9 local artists, is
currently on display in the Rusk County Community Library
Gallery. A reception will be held on Nov. 11, from 4:30 to
6:00 p.m. in the Gallery, when sponsors, building owners,
local officials and the general public will be invited to view
the artwork and speak with some of the artists.
The subject matter of the artwork has a wide range of local
interest. There are images of third and fourth generation
businesses that have served our community for nearly 100
years. Other images include older buildings getting a new
start from artful owners, such as the Toad House, formerly a
residence, and J. Hoover Builders which has a new vision for
the old powdered milk building in the Ladysmith Milk Pro-
ducers creamery complex. Also featured are several of the
beautiful old landmark buildings in Ladysmith--the old State
Bank, Gerard Hotel, Miner Theatre, and Smith House.
You can get your copy of the History Calendar for $5.00 at
the Library before (3-4:30) and during the Calendar Art
Reception at the Library on Nov. 11 (4:30-6), the Rusk
County Visitor Center, downtown at the Fine Arts Center, or
at Toad House.
