BenefitsAs we advertise in venues to publicize our region we emphasize the Chamber website. The site includes valuable features for the community, such as the business directory, community calendar, and information on things to see and do in the area.

Typically if someone is going to visit a community or move to a new area, the local Chamber site is one of the first sites they will visit. Don’t miss your opportunity to be one of the first businesses they see!

The ads on the website are hyperlinked to your website and monthly tracking statistics are available.

Web TrafficFor our fiscal year 2014-2015, the Chamber website saw more than 200,000 total page hits.

Our site averages 20,000 total visitors a month. The site receives more than 1,000 visits a day. More than half of our website visitors are new each month, so exposure to new clients is maximized.

Our most visited web pages include: the home page, the event calendar, the business directory, and lodging.

BenefitsWhile City Life was designed as an added value of membership, advertising in City Life is an opportunity for members to further highlight their business.

DistributionEach year, copies of City Life are distributed from the Chamber to hotels, Fort Sill Graduation Family Days, the Lawton Fort Sill Regional Airport’s Military Welcome Center, Fort Sill Welcome Center, casinos, and various individuals and organizations visiting our city.

Ad PlacementThere will be a limited number of advertisement spots available for each section of City Life: Dining, Shopping, Lodging and Recreation. 20,000 copies will be printed and distributed. Sponsors will have first right of refusal for sponsorship in the next publication.

Lawton Fort Sill MapThe Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce publishes a directory of its members and a visitor’s guide. The directory is distributed to all members, and the visitor’s guide is distributed to more than 30,000 people each year. It is also published on our website.

The Chamber partners with the publishing company Southcomm to produce the Business and Visitor’s Guide. If you are interested in advertising in this publication, contact the Chamber.

The Chamber also publishes a Lawton Fort Sill map that is distributed to Chamber hotels, Fort Sill Graduation Family Days, the Lawton Fort Sill Regional Airport, Fort Sill Welcome Center, casinos, and various individuals and organizations visiting our city.

Armed Forces DayLuncheon & Parade

Armed Forces Day was created August 31, 1949 when Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced one celebration would replace separate Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force days. The single-day celebration stemmed from the unification of the Armed Forces under one department - the Department of Defense.

Armed Forces Day events kick off in Lawton with a luncheon, which usually includes a military official as the keynote speaker.

Billed to be the largest Armed Forces Day parade in the nation, the Chamber’s annual parade typically has around 100 or more entries.
