Split Clip T utorial

First, choose the clip you wish to edit, they are along the bottom of the screen, which shows each clip, they can be dragged and rearranged into the order you want but in this case they are already in order.

Next, watch the selected clip frame by frame by pressing the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard. This slows the clip down and you can get the exact moment of which to split the clip at the playhead, for precise and effective editing so that it doesn’t result in too much or too little being cut from the clip. Then, at the playhead, right click or on Mac click with two fingers on the track pad and this menu will pop up.

Next, click split clip and the clip will be separated into two. You can delete the part if you don’t want/need it or you can add a transition, or possibly even add a clip between with an effect for a flashback effect. There are many uses and possibilities to be put to use using this function.
