King Ferdinand was the Spain king that reestablished the Jesuit order, and the Spanish inquisition. Ferdinand ignored the loss of the colonies understanding that his country was in trouble. The kings first issue was to fix the internal affairs. He knew that his soldiers were untrustworthy. Most of King Ferdinand's years were spent restoring the stability of Spain, as well as to increase the finances of Spain all over again. King Ferdinand also established the law that women may inherit succession of the throne, called the Pragmatic sanction. As soon as Ferdinand died, his daughter Isabella took over the throne, and so the government continued in that way.
