Key Tenant Profiles

The New Mexico Department of Health works in many ways to promote, preserve, and protect the health of New Mexicans. The state agency handles all medical and health related fields within the state and offers numerous programs and services. The agency was founded in 1919 and employs about 3,250 employees across the state of New Mexico.

Southwest CARE Center was founded in 1996 and is a center of excellence for the care and treatment of people living with HIV in New Mexico. The company is the largest provider of treatment for people living with Hepatitis C in northern New Mexico. It is the largest clinical research site in New Mexico for studies of new treatments for both HIV and Hepatitis C.
