Proposed Use of Career and Life Planning Grant in 2016-17
1. Total CLP Grant (2016/17) = $563,600 (i) CLP Grant (2016/17) = $540,000 per year recurrent grant
(ii) Unspent CLP Grant balance (as at 31 Aug. 2016) brought forward = $20,600
(iii) Expanded Subject and Curriculum Block Grand (ESCBG) (2016/17) for Major Concern 3 = $3,000
2. Means by which teachers have been consulted:

3. Details of Proposal:
(a) Employ 1 teacher with PGDE + 1 or 2 years' experience (< MPS pt.19)
= $32,538 x 7 + $33,780 x 5 = $396,666 (i) to assist in conducting career and life planning interview with S.3, S.5 and S.6 students
(ii) to assist in planning and organizing career and life planning programs, e.g. Careers Expo for students,
workplace visits and skills training
(iii) to support non-teaching duties related to CLP guidance - development of CLP education curriculum,
career information sorting & dissemination, escorting students to attend career related outings, e.g.
career visits and talks
(iv) any other duties assigned by the school
(b) Employ 1 part-time teacher assistant + 1 or 2 years’ experience
= $10,300 x 7 + $10,685 x 5 =$125,525 to support non-teaching duties related to CLP guidance:
development of CLP education curriculum, provision of CLP consultation services, uploading the latest
information to STMGSS school-based CLP webpage & homepage of STMGSS, editing 「生涯規劃園地」career
information, input data, conducting CLP-related survey, asking quotations for organizing CLP activities,
liaison with CLP services providers, updating the latest information of the CLP display boards, sorting &
disseminating CLP information, drafting letters to parents related to CLP-related activities, collection of CLP
reply slips, escorting students to attend career related outings, e.g. career visits and talks,and any other duties
assigned by the school
(c) Remaining of Career and Life Planning (CLP) Grant = $41,409 for items including: School-based CLP-related learning service for students Level Budget
(i) CLP skills training program S1 $15,000
(ii) School-based CLP service for students: Provision of
STMGSS School-based CLP webpage service
(service provider: Ming Pao & service period: June 2017– May 2018)

5. Success Criteria:
Over 70% of teachers and students agree that the use of CLPG on promoting career and life planning
education is effective and can broaden the students’ horizon in career and life planning.
6. Method of Evaluation:
Observe students’ learning attitude and collect feedback from teachers-involved at the end of the school
year.
