About SOUL

SOUL is an institution established with an intention to 'redefine living'. It is founded

on the core philosophy that every individual has the untapped reservoir of potential

which when ignited can lead to wholesome living with unmatched performances

and results.

At SOUL, we believe that our commitment to nurturing individuals will enable each

to connect to his higher self and enable him to discover a life full of purpose, making

living more meaningful.

At SOUL, we endeavor to provide a platform for Shikshan (Learning), Sadhana

(Practice), Sanshodhan (Research) and Satsang (Fellowship). SOUL is aspiring to

make a difference through, among other things, lectures, interactions, workshops,

seminars and publications.

The Founder and Chief Mentor

Mr.Vardhaman L. Jain B.Com L.L.B. FCA

Mr. Vardhaman Jain has been the Chairman of the

Pune Branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants

of India (ICAI). He has been the Council Member of the

Western Region covering the regions of Gujarat,

Maharashtra and Goa for 9 years and its Vice –

Chairman in 1997.

He has served as a Member of the Managing

Committee of Pune Chartered Accountants Society and

as a Chairman of its Professional Development

Committee.

He has also served as a Member of the Core Committee

on Direct Taxes of Maratha Chamber of Commerce,

Industries & Agriculture.

Mr. Jain is a Trustee & Treasurer of Janaseva

Foundation, Pune (An NGO engaged in operating Senior

Citizens Homes, Destitute Rehabilitation Centre,

Nursing School, etc.)

AUTHORSHIP

Authored a book titled "Estimated Income Scheme for Contractors - An analysis"

published by the Pune City Study Circle of WIRC of ICAI.

Co-authored a publication entitled "Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme - An

Insight" published by the Pune Chartered Accountants Society.

Gave a commentary on the "Budget 1998" which was brought out in audio-

cassette form, said to be the first effort of its kind in the country.

Wrote a regular column on Taxation for Times of India, Pune.


CONTRIBUTION TO SEMINARS / CONFERENCES

Has been a Chairman, Faculty member, Paper Writer and Speaker at various

Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Lecture meetings organized by various

Branches of the ICAI and other organizations and institutions on a variety of

subjects including Taxation, Auditing, Finance, Management and Individual

Development.

Co-ordinated thousands of meetings and seminars over past more than two

decades for members and students.

Conceived and organized four Residential Refresher Courses for Pune Chartered

Accountants Society.

Presented a paper at The International Conference on Audits in the Co-operative

Sector

Regular Speaker in public meetings on the Union Finance Bill (Budget) for past

several years.

Has conducted thousands of hours of training for individual development.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

Pune Branch was awarded Best Branch of the country by ICAI during his

Chairmanship in 1989-90.

Awarded Silver Medal at The All India CA Students Conference held at Calcutta

in 1980.

Awarded Sahityamani Pethe Award for Hindi Poetry.

Prizes awarded for best articles by Red Cross Society, Maharashtra Herald and

the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Pune and Pune Chartered

Accountants Society.

Awarded Outstanding Young Personality Award by Saras Jaycees, Pune.

Was on a speaking assignment for Rotary Club of Pune Riverside on the subject

"AWAKEN" (the spirit of self esteem). He has already given more than 42 talks

reaching more than 10,000 individuals. This was part of the Rotary Centennial

Year Celebrations.
