    Mrs. Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh’s birthday Celebration:

    On the 7th of this month, a surprise birthday party for our General Secretary Mrs. Mahnaz Fareed

    Sheikh was held here at SOS Children’s Village Multan. There was a treasure hunt held in which

    Mrs. Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh had to gather various different clues in order to reach her surprise

    party.

    La Salle School visited SOS Children’s Village Multan:

    The La Salle School visited SOS Children’s Village Multan, they were giving a tour of the village

    and were also introduced to the children that are residing within the village.

  • The Children of SOS Children’s Village Multan visited Beacon

    House School System Multan for a singing competition:

    The children of SOS Children’s Village Multan visited the Beacon House School System Multan

    for a singing competition that was held among the senior children.

  • Mrs. Sadia Yaqub visited SOS Youth Home Multan for

    counseling.

    Mrs. Sadia Yaqub visited the SOS Youth Home Multan in order to hold a counseling with the

    youth boys that are currently residing there. The counseling was primarily based upon what kind

    of careers the children want to adapt in to and how they can achieve their desired career.

    Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar held at the eLibrary Multan

    by Dr. Saadia Khan:

    A Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar was held at the eLibrary Multan by Dr. Saadia Khan. In this

    activity, the youth girls of SOS Children’s Village Multan went to the eLibrary Multan where

    they were informed about the effects of Breast Cancer.

  • Team Lily visited SOS Children’s Village Multan for a drawing

    activity and gift distribution:

    Team Lily visited SOS Children’s Village Multan and held a drawing competition amongs the

    younger children residing here at the village. After the competition gifts and various different

    types of food were distributed amongst the children.

  • Mr. Shahid Afridi and Mr. Amir Khattak (DCO) visited SOS Children’s Village Multan, they were

    given a warm welcome by the children that are residing in the village and both the guests also

    gave the children a speech on the importance of education.

    Mr. Amir Khattak (DCO) visited SOS Children’s Village Multan:

    Mr. Amir Khattak (DCO) visited SOS Children’s Village Multan during night time in order to

    interact with the children that are residing here at the village. A dance performance was held by

    the younger children of SOS Children’s Village Multan for him.

  • Dr. Farah Khan visited SOS Children’s Village Multan, she was given a tour of the village and

    was also introduced to the children by the General Secretary Mrs. Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh

    personally.

    Wing Commander Jhanzaib Tahir gave lunch to all the children

    in SOS Children’s Village Multan:

    Wing Commander Jhanzaib Tahir provided lunch for every child that is residing in SOS

    Children’s village Multan, the reason was that his son had gotten an admission for Aeronautical

    Engineering and wanted to give a donation to SOS Children’s Village Multan.

  • Village Committee Visits:

    During this month, Mrs. Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh and Mrs. Haniya Shahid visited SOS Children’s

    Village Multan and contacted every Committee Member that was behind their due payment and

    they also contacted all of the sponsors that had due payments as well with the help of Mr.

    Kamran Yousaf. Ms. Kainaat Idrees updated all of the intra records of the children in the SOS

    Children’s Village Multan and is now updating the records of the children residing in the SOS

    Youth Home Multan. Mr. Ghufran Yousaf wrote the brief histories of the children of the D block

    and also the newly admitted children and then sent them to Mrs. Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh for

    proof reading; she then created the admission notes as well and uploaded the entire data on the

    intra software. New blankets for the children residing in the village were also approved by the

    General Secretary Mrs. Mahnaz Fareed Sheikh as the previous ones were not in very good

    condition. All the wishes of the children up till the house C-1 for the Make A Wish activity have

    been fulfilled, Mrs. Minahil Atta and Mrs. Sidra Bakhtawar will now fulfill the wishes of the

    children that residing in the houses C-2 and C-3.

    Subject: Hygiene

    All the mothers were gathered in classroom. They were introduced with the topic and were

    asked to give views on the selected topic. First of all topic was explained to mothers. That is Self-

    care and Personal Hygiene.

    At the first they were explained about what is hygiene. How can we keep ourselves clean

    Mothers were guide about importance of self-care

    They were explained you are role model for children

    I advise them to comb your hair, brush your teeth and always wear neat and clean clothes

    I told you are eldest member of your house you represent all your home so you should

    have to keep clean yourself

    The subject prepared under Child Protection Policy

    Children of group B Age 8 to 11 years

    The topic was explained with different examples to the children.

    The psychologist explained what peer pressure is and how they can take a stand against

    such situations in which a person has to face peer pressure.

    Psychologist explained that all of us come across such situations at certain times. Girls and

    boys both have to face peer pressure and it is unspoken and spoken. And how can we

    resist the spoken and unspoken peer pressure.

    We can come across different peer pressures that can involve drugs involvement, criminal

    activities, physical or mental abuse etc

    Psychologist explained that every individual has the right to resist any kind of pressure. If

    a person of peer offer him/her something that needs a resistance, he/she needs to stand

    up for his right and say no clearly and assertively.

    Every child had a good understanding of the topic. And they understood that if they come

    across such situations in life they should be able to deal with it and that they can seek help

    anytime from the psychologist.

    Regular Hygiene Checkup of SOS Children:

    A regular checkup of children hygiene and health on daily basis in the dispensary of SOS

    Children’s Village Multan by the village director, Ms. Salma and the appointed dispenser is

    monitoring all the children.

    Welcome Party of College Students:

    Students of grade: XI, XII

    Aim of the activity: To welcome the students of first year in college

    Purpose of activity:

    On 26th October, 2019 the students of grade XII arranged a beautiful welcome

    party for the students of grade XI. It was conducted in the auditorium of SOS Hermann Gmeiner

    Higher Secondary School Multan. Students of grade XII decorated hall beautifully with colourful

    umbrellas, balloons, flowers and lightening.

    Student of grade XII Mr. Abdullah Shah and Roman anchored the party. They started the party

    with the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool.

    They welcomed all the students, teachers, Academic Head Mrs. Kanwal Farooq and specially

    Director SOS Village Mr. Kamran Yousaf in this party.

    Students of grade XII presented musical performance to welcome all the participants in this

    party.

  • After that the students performed funny dramas, Qawali, Songs dedication and many

    entertaining performances. Then, they invited Mr. Kamran Yousaf, he delivered them some

    precious words. He appreciated the arrangements and performances of the students.

    In the end students took group photographs with all their teachers and fellows. They were

    entertained with lunch. All the students and teachers enjoyed a lot. Students of grade XI thanked

    the students of grade XII who arranged. This beautiful welcome party for them.

    Chairman PBTE Visit:

    Mr. Nazir Khan Niyazi Chairman Punjab Board of Technical Education from Lahore paid a visit

    with his team at SOS Multan institute of technology on 25th Oct, 2019 for the purpose of DAE

    inspection. Principal Mr. Tauqir Ahmad and Mr. Muhammad Nasrullah vice principal SOS

    Multan institute of technology warmly welcomed the guest.

    Mr. Nazir Khan Niyazi and his team visited all classrooms and ask questions with students, he

    checked all trades attendance registers, marking sheets and all related documents. They visited

    all labs and checked student’s practical jobs and appreciated the efforts of trainers. At the end

    refreshment were served to inspection team.

  • Accreditation with NAVTTC

    SOS Multan Institute of Technology was applied for NAVTTC accreditation in August, 2019. For

    accrediting all programs of SMIT NAVTTC organized an inspection on 28th Oct, 2019 to 30th Oct,

    2019.

    On day one they visited all labs and conducted interviews of teaching and non-teaching staff and

    verify their all educational/ experienced documents.

    On day two they verify the facilities provided to students i.e. list of labs along with equipment/

    machinery and furniture etc.

    On third day Mr. Kashif Raheem NAVTTC assistant director Multan region visited at SMIT and

    finalize the accreditation report.

    According to NAVTTC team hopefully SMIT will got accreditation of NAVTTC very soon.

  • DAE 1st Year Welcome Party:

    SOS Multan Institute of Technology organized an event to celebrate welcome party of DAE

    technologies on 31st Oct, 2019. Mr. Zahid Razzaq & Mr .Shoaib Khan (Teachers) plays the role of

    event organizer.

    Stage Secretary: Shaheer Ahmad, Malaika Noor

    Recitation of Quran Pak:

    Program started with the recitation of Holy Quran Mr. Hafiz Muhammad Hamza recited the

    Holy versus.

    Welcome Speech:

    Mr. Touqeer Ahmad (Principal) SOS Multan Institute of Technology gave welcome address to

    first year class students.

    All teachers and students were very excited. Second year students gave funny titles to their

    juniors. Over all function was full of colors. All performances were appreciated by audience.

    Principal Mr. Touqeer Ahmad & V. Principal Nasrullah shb distributed the Awarding Shields

    among Toppers and encouraged them. Program closed by opening the lunch table, Students &

    teachers enjoyed their lunch at same place at auditorium.
