• Communications – 4 credits

year of Algebra

Helpful Hints

• Students should attend their individual junior / senior counselor meeting

• Take time to visit schools, watch for “preview days” and “open houses”, and sign up to meet the college representatives who visit our school

• Discuss the financial implications of continuing your education with your parents

• Consider what you know about yourself when making the decision to continue your education

• Take advantage of opportunities provided at PWHS (courses of rigor, extracurricular activities)

• Continue to work hard and do your best in high school

• Determine whether you should take or retake the ACT or SAT junior and senior year

• Acquire information about schools that are a good match for you

• Parents of juniors and seniors should attend the respective Parents Night

• Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) Using 3D computer modeling software, students learn the design

process and solve design problems for which they develop, analyze,

and create product models

• Principles of Engineering (POE) Students explore technology systems and engineering processes to

find out how math, science, and technology help people

• Digital Electronics (DE) Students use computer simulation to learn about the logic of electronics

as they design, test, and actually construct circuits and devices

• Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Students learn concepts of robotics and automated manufacturing by

creating 3-dimensional designs with modeling software and producing

models of their designs
