The Sonoran Pueblo offers in-house catering service with three meeting and banquet rooms conveniently located, and ideally suited for all occasions. You may choose from a variety of menu selections, or allow our experienced catering team to personally design a menu for your special event.

We take great pride in the preparation and quality of our food as well as the style and grace in which it is presented. The Sonoran Pueblo offers you and your guests the best in exceptional food, service and hospitality. Our banquet space can be tailored to accommodate 50 to 500 guests for a wide vari-ety of functions. We offer full bar service and will work closely with you in creating a unique setting for your special event.

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility: Active Duty, Retired Military Personnel and their Dependents, Reservists, DoD Employees, Con-tractors, and Community Support Groups are eligible patrons of MCAS Yuma Sonoran Pueblo Catering Fa-cility.

Reservations: Reservations for catering services and space can be made by contacting the Catering Office located at the Sonoran Pueblo at MCAS Yuma, Build-ing 1200 or by calling (928) 269-2711 for an appoint-ment. All reservations are considered tentative until con-firmed by the receipt of a Letter of Agreement (LOA) signed by an eligible sponsor and a deposit. Refunds will be considered when requested 90 days (or more) prior to the date of the function or as a result of un-scheduled military assignments.

Guarantee: Patrons are required to provide the Cater-ing Office with the guaranteed number of attendees four business days prior to the date of the function. This figure will be considered the guarantee and can-not be reduced after the due date. If a guarantee is not received four business days before the event, the original estimate will become the guarantee. We will prepare 5% over the guarantee at the time of the function. The final guarantee provided must not fall below 85% of the original estimate stated on the LOA without management approval. Final guarantees which are less than 85% of the estimate stated on the LOA may result in additional charges, room reassign-ment, or may constitute a cancellation.

Room Assignments: Function rooms are assigned ac-cording to the original estimated number of guests. Fluctuations in the number of attendees may result in relocation of the event or additional room charges.

Service Charges: An 18% service charge will be added to the final bill.

Liability: The Sonoran Pueblo or Catering Office is not responsible for damage or loss of any merchandise, equipment, clothing, or other valuables left at any function.

Food Service: There is a contract minimum food or-der of $14.50 per person for events beginning and ending before 1600 and $16.50 per person for events beginning after 1600 for facility use. Events not meet-ing food minimum requirements will incur a facility use fee to be determined by the Catering Office. In order to ensure product quality and availability, the final menu selection and party details must be provid-ed to the Catering Office no later than four weeks pri-or to the function. Split-menu selection for sit-down meals is limited to two selections. The price for the split menu will be at the higher price of the two selec-tions. With the exception of wedding cakes, all food and beverage items must be provided exclusively by the Sonoran Pueblo.

Time Restrictions: All parties are set up for a max-imum of four hours except full day conferences or meetings. Clients have access to the function room (for decorating purposes only), two hours prior to the event. An additional hourly fee will be required for any additional time needed. This must be arranged with the Catering Office prior to the event.

Bar Service: Complete bar service is available with a host or no host option. A fee of $25.00 per hour per bartender with a minimum of two hours will apply for all bars. All beverages must be supplied by Semper Fi Special Events and consumed on the premises. Un-der no circumstances will minors be served alcoholic beverages. Sponsors are responsible for ensuring that minors do not consume alcoholic beverages. The min-imum drinking age on MCAS Yuma is 21 years unless otherwise approved in writing by the base command-er.

Host/Sponsor: The host/sponsor is requested to be present prior to the start of the function to ensure that all provisions of the contract have been met. The military sponsor assumes full financial responsibility for the vent, and any damages caused by their guests.

Decorations: Access to the rooms for purposes of decorating prior to your event is possible and is de-pendent on other scheduled events. Tacks, push pins, scotch tape, nails, or staples may not be used in any function room. Rice birdseed or confetti throwing is not permitted on the premises. Should this occur, the host is responsible and will incur a cleaning fee.

Payments: All parties require a 25% deposit. An ad-ditional payment of 50% of the anticipated balance is due 30 days prior to the event date. The remaining balance is due 4 working days prior to your event. See LOA for refund policy.

Guest List: In connection with this function, the au-thorized host/hostess agrees to provide the Sonoran Pueblo with a complete list of all guests to have ac-cess to MCAS Yuma four business days before the event. This list must be typed, and in alphabetical order, by last name first.

Entry To The Base: All station and state regulation re-quire that you have in your possession a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and proof of motor vehi-cle insurance for access to the base.

Additional Policies

Sponsor: Host / Sponsor Responsibilities. The host/hostess/sponsor is required to be present for the du-ration of the function to ensure that all provisions of the contract have been met. The sponsor assumes full financial responsibility for the event, and any damag-es caused by their guests.

Food & Beveragesa. Bringing in Food & Beverages. No outside food or beverages may be brought into the Sonoran Pueb-lo by patrons or groups. The only exception may be wedding or specialty cakes that cannot be produced in house.b. Alcohol. The minimum drinking age on MCAS Yuma is 21 years unless otherwise approved in writing by the base commander.

Dress Code: Proper dress is required when using the Sonoran Pueblo. Muscle shirts, gym clothing, cut-offs, tank tops, undershirts (by themselves), soiled or di-sheveled clothing are not appropriate.

Reservations: Bookings for catering services are con-sidered tentative until conrmed with a signed con-tract and receipt of a 25% deposit. Cancellation 21 days (or less) prior to the scheduled event will result inforfeiture of the deposit. Please be aware that ac-cess to the base may be restricted in times of emer-gencies due to security. The last such event was the 9/11 attack in 2001.
