Amendment to Rules & RegulationsTHE FOLLOWING RULES WERE RECENTLY
APPROVED & ADOPTED BY THE BOARD
Dangerous Pets. The Homeowners Association will leave the management of dangerous animals to the civil authorities, but we reserve the right to remove at any time a “Dangerous Pet”. A pet is deemed to be a “Dangerous Pet” for purposes of this Rule if and when the animal causes physical harm to any person or a domestic pet, or if the animal acts in such an aggressive manner toward any person that it may reasonably be deemed to pose a threat of physical harm. It shall be in the sole discretion of the Board to determine on a case-by-case basis whether an animal is a “Dangerous Pet”. If an animal is deemed by the Board to be a “Dangerous Pet”, the Board, in addition to all other remedial powers afforded under these Rules and the other governing documents of the Association, may, in its sole discretion require the owner of the pet to permanently remove the animal from the Property.
Enforcement. The Association, acting through its Board or Managing Agent at the direction of the board, may assess a fine against the Lot Owner and Lot for the violation of the Owner, his tenants, occupants or guests of any governing document of the Association, in an amount to be determined by the Board of Directors. Each day of the violation may be considered a separate violation. The Association may assess reasonable attorney fees to an Owners’ account for nonpayment of amounts due or fees associated with enforcement action for other violations of the Declaration, Bylaws, or Rules. The Association must comply with all notice requirements of state law prior to issuing fines or charging attorneys fees to owners.

Thanksgiving PiesHello, Parents!
At BPE, we have a tradition that is loved by the teachers and staff. Each year, on the last day of school before the Thanksgiving break (Tuesday, Nov. 22), we bring in pies to distribute to each person on the staff at our school. This is a great way to say; “Thanks” for all that they do each day for our children. We need to have 3 pies from each class in order to give a pie to each staff member. Since we will have a lot of pies that day, we ask that they do NOT need to be refrigerated. These are gifts, so we ask that each pie be wrapped. There are several ways to do this....there are clear plastic bags that can be found in the wrapping section of the dollar store, you could use cellophane, plastic wrap, a box with a clear top, the plastic containers that frozen pie shells come in, etc. A simple or super fancy ribbon or bow would be the perfect way to top it off! Please label your pie in some way with the type of pie it is.
Don't feel like you can›t help with this just because you don›t feel like making a pie! Store bought pies are perfectly fine!! We hope to have everyone send in their pies all ready to go, but if you can send a pie but don’t want to decorate it, send it anyway! I’ll be there in the morning to make sure that all of them end up looking great! Pies need to be in by 8:00am on Tuesday. I will have carts inside the front doors and will be ready to take them off your hands!
You may be wondering how to get in on the fun!! It's easy to sign up, so go ahead!https://www.parentteacher.net/volunteerr.asp?sc=BlacklandPrPTA&v=14953
Thank you all SO much for helping to continue this tradition!
Pulte ProjectOn Hold
As of November 2, 2011 the Sonoma Northwest Project is on “hold”. Pulte has pulled their rezoning request and is reconsidering their project. The Board is monitoring the situation and will keep you informed. At this time, the earliest that there would be Public Hearings on this project would be December 14, but that would only be if rezoning requests are submitted.

WASH YOUR HANDSREDUCING SPREAD OF DISEASE
WHILE AT HOME & WORKBy: Concentra Urgent Care
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) say that nearly 90,000 patients die in U.S. hospitals each year due to a preventable disease – many could be avoided if everyone properly washed their hands. From germs on office equipment to sick colleagues who decided to come into work anyway, people face the same dangers in the workplace. The same simple factholds true: Washing your hands regularly is an effective way to prevent yourself from catching or spreading a preventable disease or illness.
WHEN TO WASH YOUR HANDSThe CDC recommends washing your hands every time you:• Prepare or eat food• Use the restroom• Tend to someone who is sick; both before and after• Blow your nose, cough, or sneeze• Handle garbage• Treat a cut or wound• Change diaper or clean up after children• Handle an animal or animal waste
HAND WASHING BASICSThe CDC has issued specific guidelines
about effective hand washing:• Wet hands with water• Use plain bar or liquid soap• Create a lather by vigorously rubbing hands together for
15-20 seconds—about the amount of time it takes to sing “Happy Birthday” twice
• Be sure to wash palms, back of hands, fingers, and nails (clean nails by gently scratching nails down your opposing soapy palm)
• Rinse off soap under a stream of water
WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO?• Focus on hand washing in the lunch and/or break room• Be careful when using sponges and dish towels. These are
ideal sites for bacterial growth. Always wash your hands after using these items.
• Maintain a clean work area; regularly clean any office equipment, especially shared items such as phones and keyboards.
• Remind your colleagues of the importance of hand washing, particularly when you witness someone neglecting to wash his or her hands. ®
