Eff egi Brega Light Curing Unit Soleil is ideal for light curing materials for 3d printing models.It is a universal Light Curing Unit with a user friendly design.Twelve long last ing LEDs power and di fferent polymerisat ion t imes, variable by the user according to the mater ia ls and working carr ied out . Thirty programs, fi fteen of them with quick selection mode to speed up the operations.Ten pre-installed standard programs for the most common processes and the possibility of customizing them according to the operator needs and the type of material used and the required techniques.Effegi Brega always focused on the market needs and new processing methods, has created Soleil, a polyvalent and innovative light curing unit.Its versatility, user friendliness and the high-tech, allow the dental technician an infi nite creativity.

Currently there is a great offer of different composite and resins on the dental market, that impl ies a diversification of the l ight curing process. Soleil off ers the possibility to vary and alternate the range of light application, optimizing the fi nal result, to regulate the power of LEDs ensuring the integrity of materials used regardless of their thickness.Soleil allows several working procedures: ambient pressure, with vacuum, under pressure and it is also possible to heat the chamber at 55 ° C.The possibility to adjust pressure and vacuum settings can improve the appliance’s compactness, making it stronger, easier to polish and less subject to dental plaque.Appearance and colours are greatly improved, and the surface scattering layer is thinner (Eff egi Brega patent).Thanks to the reflective chamber and turntable, the light is evenly diffused with no dark spots, ensuring the complete and safe l ight curing of the whole appliance.

Program 01 Composite OpaqueFirst application of thin opaque to obtain maximum adhesion with the underlying structure.
Program 02 Final opaque compositeProgram developed for the final polymerization of the opaque, a very important procedure for the correct management of all the subsequent stratification phases.

Program 06 Seal Coat For the adhesive preparation of any surface to be treated, also suitable for final sealing. The application of pressure, and following the vacuum, gives greater security on the final result.

Program 083D ResinsThe polymerization of parts produced with 3D printers requires a specifi c program to ensure high mechanical properties.The s tud ies determine that the use o f h igh temperatures, in addition to the correct emission of light, reduce the polymerization times keeping unchanged the final characteristics of the resin parts.Soleil’s dedicated 3D program has been designed to fulfill this purpose.

To e n s u re g o o d d u r a b i l i t y i n t h e o r a l c a v i t y, prosthetic products must have an acceptable quality standard.The reliability offered by the materials available on the current dental market can be compromised by incorrect processing.The polymerization shrinkage can be one of the critical f a c t o r s t h a t d e t e r m i n e t h e l o n g e v i t y o f t h ec o m p o s i t e restaurations (Bausch et al., 1982).Wear represents the detachment of solid material from a surface due to mechanical action. Five mechanisms underlying the loss of substance have been theorized (O’Brien and Yee, 1980): 1) Preferential wear of the matrix to the surface of the composite. It is favuored by polymerization defects.2) Particle loss due to adhesive fracture favoured by a weak matrix-filler bond.3) Cohesive fracture within the matrix. The qualities of the polymerization and of the organic components have a decisive influence. 4) In stress areas, the onset of fatigue and hydrolysis degradation promotes the formation and propagation of micro fractures.5) Exposure o f the po ros i t y tha t de te rm ine the appearance of further defects to the surface of the material (the walls of the bubbles have a poor quality of polymerization).
ConsiderationsThe use o f So le i l guarantees an exce l lent and repeatable photo polymerization standard, giving stabi l i ty to the materials used respecting their chemical-physical propert ies. The versatil ity of the programs, the use of vacuum, pressure and temperature, make it unique and polyvalent, given the growing off er of aesthetic materials and not only present in modern dental laboratories.
