- asserts that people can observe a behavior conducted by others and then reproduce those actions.
Help students acquire new behavior more quickly, it is important to demonstrate those behaviors yourself.
- anticipated consequences of a person’s behavior
-motivate students to join activities that will be advantageous for them in the future
- create lessons that epmhasize real-world application and the relevance of material to student’s own lives
-personal beliefs about one’s capabilities to learn or perform actions at designated level
- try to encourage students to get challenging, but achievable goals for themselves
- provide objectives that students are trying to achieve
- instruction should help students develop the ability and willingness to form their own academic goals

- teach students ways to control their own behavior and direct their own learning, so they will not be dependent on others as they get older.
