We are surrounded by social enterprises but most of us are not aware of it
If you have ever shopped at the Co-op; visited the Eden Project; bought the Big Issue or eaten at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant, then you have come into contact with social enterprises.
On a local level, many businesses that have a environmental, social or community purpose, are actually social enterprises – it could be your local theatre, local radio station or veg box delivery service.
In celebration of National Social Enterprise Day on the 21st November e-factor is holding a Social Enterprise Showcase event to highlight the diversity of social enterprises in North East Lincolnshire.
Come along to this free event and see for yourself what inspiring businesses are in the area providing products and services to benefit the community. There will also be the chance to buy products on the day from exhibitors as well as meet the social enterprises and find out more about what they do.
If you are a social enterprise yourself, or are thinking of starting one, it is a chance to meet other social enterprises and also talk to e-factor’s Social Enterprise Business Advisors and see the resources and support available through the Social Enterprise Centre.
