UBER VS. TAXI - COMPETITION OF BENEFITS

➔ Replicating then innovating the taxi business➔ Increasing driver profits while still remaining cheaper than

the taxi business ➔ App-based services are more convenient and usually offer

better service than taxis do because of regulators like ratings and newer, more luxurious cars

-App-based service -Hail a car from any location and have it available in minutes -Payment is digital-Receipt is emailed so you don’t have to keep track of papers-Ability to track and communicate with drivers-Professional drivers with high star ratings-Drivers can log in and out strategically and create their own work hours-Uber provides most of benefits of taxicab services while reducing difficulties that have been dealt with

*Uber is constantly reassessing customer needs and changing their own tactics to fit the needs of the customer (changing pricing, different facets of app)-Planning for profitability

*Expected to hit an annual revenue run rate of $10 billion by the end of 2015

-Striving for sustainability *Uber's revenue will grow about 300% this year and it's expected to grow another 300% next year-Establishing credibility *Has gained credibility and is a constantly growing business with new employees and customers every day
