HALIFAX HARBOUR AND APPROACHESVESSEL TRAFFIC SERVICES

RADAR REFLECTORSMost of the major lighted buoys are equipped with radarreflectors. Individual radar reflectors have not been charted.

CABLESSubmarine and overhead cables may conduct high voltagesand contact with or proximity to these poses an extremedanger. Mariners should not anchor close to submarinecables; however if anchors become hooked onto a cable caremust be taken not to sever the cable. Cables installed sincethe date of publication of this edition may not be charted.Sufficient clearance must be allowed under all overheadcables. Actual clearances may differ from charted values dueto changes in atmospheric conditions and/or water levels.

ANCHOR CABLESAnchor cables extend from the buoys to mooring anchorswithin this restricted area. Vessels are cautioned not toanchor in this area.

NO WAKE CORRIDORThis area is a No Wake Corridor and mariners must adjust thespeed of their vessels accordingly. Anchoring is prohibited inthe corridor.

Il se peut que les câblesinstallés depuis la data de publication de cette édition nesoient pas cartographiés. Une hauteur libre suffisante doitêtres allouée sous tous les câbles aéraient. Les hauteurs libresactuelles peuvent varier de valeurs cartographiées à cause dechangements dans les conditions atmosphériques et/ou lesniveaux d’eau.

C ÄBLES D’ANCRAGEDes câbles d’ancrage s’étendent des bouées aux ancresd’amarrage à l’intérieur de cette zone de restriction. Ondéconseille aux navires de mouiller dans cette zone.
