    Time Allocation : 2 x 45 minutes

Standard competence : 3. Describing the structure and function of human and certain animal

organs, disorders / diseases that may occur and the implications

for science, technology, environment, and society

Basic Competence : 3.2. Explaining the relationship between structure functions and

processes also the disorders / diseases that may occur in the circulatory

    system.

    e. Divided class into several group which

consist of 2 person in every group

    f. Give a question (C1) and also a piece of

white paper and let they discussed answer

the questiong. Joint 2 group become one large group (4

students) and give them a piece of blue paper

and give the second question (C2)

    h. Joint 2 large group become one group that

consist of 8 students and give them a

question again (C3 and C4 or C5) also dont

forget give them a yellow paper

    Plasma

    Description :

    Liquid part of blood.

Contains many important substances which must be carried around the body.

Plasma is the straw-colored (straw-yellow) liquid in which the blood cells are

    suspended.

Constitutes 55% of blood fluid, is mostly water (92% by volume), and contains

dissipated proteins, glucose, mineral ions, hormones, carbon dioxide (plasma being

the main medium for excretory product transportation), platelets and blood cells

    themselves.

    Function :

The serum albumin of Plasma has function to regulate osmotic pressure

Other Plasma proteins, called globulins, are produced by immune system and help to

    protect against infection

And the last of plasm is fibrinogen, which regulates blood clotting.

    Erythrocyte (Red Blood Cell)Description :

Are the most numberous cell in blood

Has bright-red Hemoglobin (Iron/Ferum) inside them.

There are approximately five million red blood cells per cubic millimetre of blood,

slightly more in men and less in women.

    Produced in marrow

Has a life span 120 days

    Has no nuclei

    Function :

The primary function of red blood cells is to carry oxygen from the lungs to the

    tissues around your body.

As a secondary function, they are also a key player in getting waste carbon

dioxide from your tissues to your lungs, where it can be breathed out.

    Leukocyte (White Blood Cell)Description :

    part of the immune system.

    WBCs are much less numerous than red (the ratio between the twois around 1:700);

    have nuclei;

    not contain hemoglobin

    produced in bone marrow

may life for many month and possibly for years

Consist of lymphocytes and monocytes with relatively clear

cytoplasm, and three types of granulocytes, whose cytoplasm is

    filled with granules.

    Function :

    Participate in protecting the body from infection;

They destroy and remove old or aberrant cells and cellular debris, fight

paracites,as well as attack infectious agents (pathogens) and foreign

    substances.

    Thrombocyte (Platelet)Description :

Platelets are cell fragments produced from megakaryocytes.

    Flat

    produced in the bone marrow

They contain proteins on their surface that allow them to stick to

breaks in the blood vessel wall and also to stick to each other.

They contain granules that can secrete other proteins required for

creating a firm plug to seal blood vessel breaks.

Platelets contain proteins similar to muscle proteins that allow them to

change shape when they become sticky.

    Function :

Responsible for blood clotting (coagulation). They change fibrinogen into

fibrin. This fibrin creates a mesh onto which red blood cells collect and
