Marielle Murphy Coloratura Soprano

Reviews “Marielle Murphy used her brilliant soprano as the maid Lucia... singing was gorgeous.”

Jim Lowe, TIMES ARGUS, 2014 “Marielle Murphy as Susanna appeared... arias, chemistry and comic sense were artful... her soprano was an agile coloratura.”

Geraldine Freedman, THE DAILY GAZETTE, 2014 “The voices are spectacular, starting with the Susanna, Marielle Murphy: her instrument is unstoppable and can be heard sparkling in every register.”

Chris Buchanan, BERKSHIRE FINE ARTS, 2014 “Marielle Murphy, originally from California, displayed the exquisite training provided by Eastman when she sang a series of Mozart, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Gershwin pieces. She brought down the house when, after displaying a complete command of the vocal acrobatics of Richard Strauss’ “Grossmächtige Prinzessin”, from Ariadne auf Naxos, she offered as an encore the famous “Caro Nome”, sung with precision, power and accuracy in the high notes.”
