need to take before applying online? Employment Exchange details : Please be ready with details of Valid Employment Exchange Registration Number Location, Validity date etc. Scan copy of your Photo should not be more than 50 kb and Signature should not be more than 20 kb with file extension jpg or jpeg. Date of Birth as per SSC/Matric Certificate Qualification certificates from SSC onwards. Write your Name and Date of Birth in application format as per SSC/ Matric Certificate. 2 What is the Fees amount that I am required to pay?

Gen/OBC: Rs. 300/- + Rs.20/- Bank charges SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen: Rs.100/- + Rs.20/- Bank charges The candidature of applicants submitting fee of lesser amount or depositing fee through any mode other than the prescribed method, will be rejected.

3 Whether the Registration charges is refundable or not?

Registration charges are not refundable.

4 Can I Edit/Modify my information after submitting?

Once submitted, no part of the application form can be edited. Candidates are advised to maintain accuracy of information while applying and recheck before submitting online application.

5 I, by mistake entered incorrect data in my application. Can I correct it.

Data once entered cannot be edited/modified. Please enter data in application carefully. Once you are sure that the information is in order/correct, then Click on SUBMIT to save.

6 Can I request ONGC to modify / correct my application details?

Please note that once the data saved, any request for change of mailing address, examination centre / category / discipline etc. as declared in the online application, will not be entertained.

7 I have forgot to note down the Registration number, where I can find it?

You can get it from the copy of Bank Challan, SMS which you receive immediately after online registration.

8 Unable to upload the scanned copy of the Photograph/ Signature. What are possible reasons?

Check if the file type is .jpg or .jpeg. Any other file type will not be accepted. Size for Photograph file should not be more than 50 kb and Signature file should not be more than 20 kb. Refer link “How to Scan and upload Photograph and Signature”.

9 Are there any file size restrictions when uploading my Photo and Signature online?

Yes. The scanned copy of the photograph should not be more than 50kb, the scanned copy of the signature should not be more than 20kb. Also the scanned copies should necessarily be in either jpeg or jpg format. Please also ensure that a recent passport size colour photograph with a white background is uploaded.

S.N. Question Reply 10 What are the modes of applying?

All applicants have to Register online only by filling in their details in the online application format. A Customized Bank Challan will be generated to deposit Registration Charges in any of the SBI Branch. Re-login the Application format using Unique Registration Number and Date of Birth and fill the Bank details and upload scanned Photo and Signature in the space provided in the application format and Submit the application format. Registration Slip will be generated on successful registration. Take a printout of this Registration slip and keep it in a safe place. An SMS will be sent at the mobile number intimating that you have registered your candidature. The candidate can also view his/her data by using a combination of his Registration ID and Date of Birth. After logging in he can also take a print out of his Registration slip.

11 Can I give e-mail id and mobile number any of my relatives or friends?

NO, You have to provide your own valid e-mail-id and mobile number. It should be active e-mail-id and Mobile number and has to remain valid upto one year.

12 Who are the Departmental Candidates? Regular Employees working in ONGC, Direct Employees of ONGC, and Tenure/Term Based Employees are considered as Departmental Candidates for the purpose of instant Recruitment in Western Sector and Jodhpur Frontier Basin.

13 My Final Results are awaited for Diploma / ITI/Graduation/PG etc. Can I Apply?

NO. You are not eligible to apply in case final results are awaited.

14 I belong to SC/ST/OBC category. Can I apply for posts for which there is no vacancy under the reserved category?

In case there are no post of the reserved category the candidate can still apply provided he meets all the eligibility criteria for the General category. In all such cases the candidate shall be treated as a General category candidate. Thus no relaxation in age shall be provided to him. Also he shall be considered for interview/ final selection as per the General Category merit and not as per any of the reserved category merit.

15 I am possessing Diploma qualification. Can I apply for A-I level post?

No, one should possess the basic qualification of ITI, if you are possessing ITI as well as Diploma qualification you can apply for the either A-I level or A-II level. But with only direct Diploma qualification you cannot apply for the post of A-I level.

16 I am possessing B.E/B.Tech./M.Tech qualification. Can I apply for A-II level post?

No, one should possess the essential qualification. If you are possessing Diploma as well as B.E, B.Tech, M.Tech qualification you can apply for the A-II level post, but with only direct B.E, B.Tech, M.Tech qualification you cannot apply for the post of A-II level.

17 Where there is essential qualification of Certificate / Diploma of minimum duration of 6 months in Computer Application in Office Environment. I am possessing the qualification BCA/ MCA, whether this qualification is equivalent to Certificate / Diploma of minimum duration of 6 months in Computer Application in Office Environment.

No, The qualification BCA & MCA will not be treated as equivalent Certificate / Diploma of minimum duration of 6 months in Computer Application and you must possess the Certificate / Diploma as prescribed.
