90% of LCs don’t have any positive comments at all, and most of comments that we have were made by AIESECers. The reasons of this situation are next:

small amount of followers/friends

no constant work with accounts

no interaction with the audience, no “alive” statuses (how to improve: see the GCPs)

It is good to see the tendency that number of followers and friends of 95% of accounts increased since the 28th of February. But you should work constantly on increasing your audience to cover more and more people!

Tips:

Do you have on your web-site and blog links to SM accounts?

Do you have social media integrated to your web-site? (Can you like/tweet/share each article from main page)

Vkontakte is the obvious leader in this section. Only 2 LCs have proper amount of visitors from twitter, but in Facebook the situation is better. Some LCs web-sites have visits from other social media, mostly from blogs.

SOCIAL MEDIA REPORT

FEBRUARY, 2011 NATIONAL SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM

GCPs (Good case practices) The greatest opportunity to get knowledge how to work in web 2.0 – is to share GCPs – already done things, online events, promotion, etc.

NSMT created a spreadsheet “Social media GCPs of @ Ukraine” in order to share the most effective ways to manage communication strategy.

The main tip we can choose – use already working strategies first – cause a lot of them are really effective!

Thank you Kharkiv, Simferopol and Kyiv for sharing their XP. Hope, the tradition will work and other LCs will be opened for sharing and communicating.
