Smart Street Lighting as an energy saving solution in the world

Reida Pasgara Putra

* Indonesia University of Education, Indonesia

Street lighting system are critical to the economic performance of the world

economy [1], and excessive or improper street lighting is currently responsible for a

significant waste of electrical energy in many cities worldwide []! "ighting system is

responsible for the consumption of approximately #$% of all electricity generated in the

world [#]! &he smart street light system has several good points but it is difficult to

implement the smart street light system [']!

(sing P") Power "ine )ommunication + is the

easiest way to realie the smart street light and "-. light is suitable in terms of cost [/] even

with higher investment costs, have the highest energy savings and R0 time [2]!

&he smart "-. lamp operates for /'3/ hours as compared to #4#1 hours for an

ordinary "-. lamp! &his increases life of lamp /$% annualy! &hat means a lamp that would

operate for two years earlier would now operate for # years [3]!
