5 May 2017 Summer Quarter Week 4
HILL HOUSE INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR SCHOOL
Important dates: We hope you all had an enjoyable Bank Holiday. It is hard to believe that there are only 9 weeks remaining before we head off for our summer holiday and we say good-bye to you all.
No wellington boots are required for the Summer Term as we are hoping that the weather turns warm and sunny and without rain.
Everyone enjoyed their visit to the London Transport Museum on Tuesday 2 May. Here we met Jane and Monty the Mole who took us back to London in the 1800’s. We saw old-fashioned buses and trams and helped Monty the Mole find his way back home. The children had a wonderful time. Please see photos attached. The Small School photo went very well on Wednesday 3 May. We will let you know when they will be available to view and order.
We are pleased to report that the caterpillars are growing in size and weight. We are now also watching Indian Stick Insect eggs hatch and grow.
It is very difficult to find coats and other items of uniform if they are not named. We would really appreciate your help by labeling all items of uniform clearly and preferably with a woven nametag.
The children have been very enthusiastic and involved with gardening and watching all our plants grow and we now have some coming to fruition! We planted some early radishes, rocket and coriander, which are now ready to eat and we will be making a salad with them next week. Please see photos attached. Just a reminder that the school needs to be informed if your child is absent, and the reason for the absence. Please either phone Mrs Bright or send an email. Louise Daget (S2) has lost her brown rain jacket. It is named. Can you please check you do not have it by mistake.
The sun hats have arrived and will be available to purchase from Mrs. Bright. Cost £5.00.
We wish you an enjoyable weekend.
