The mural is intended to inspire and stimulate the imaginations of children of all ages. The mural will also draw in reluctant readers to the library. The group was founded in 1894 and met in members’ homes to actually read novels aloud while doing charity work for community causes. Mulan Chuan5/11 from 1:00PM-2:00PMInspired by traditional and classical move-ments from theater, dance, the martial arts, MuLan Chuan is one of modern China’s movement art forms. The physicality is marvelous for achieving good health and inner balance in as much as it is a com-pendium of China’s aesthetic disciplines. Stately swords and fluttering fans are used in MuLan Chuan, but the practitioners are everyday folk--male, female, young and old. This will be a demonstration and short introductory class taught by Jichun Sun and her students.
