Instructions for use Prior to installing the Hilti KF 170, 171 or

175 refrigeration pipe ring, apply anapprox. 1 cm wide layer of KF 30/45sealant around the circumference, inside onthe pipe supporting surfaces, and on theconnecting surfaces of both half rings (asillustrated).

The best temperature when using thesealant is approx. 20 to 25C. If used incooler surroundings, keep the materials

suitably warm before use.

In the case of the type KF 171, both piperings must be fitted immediately next toeach other on the support. When doing so, a 1 cm wide circular layer must also beapplied to both side-on faces between thepipe rings.

The seal must be a vapour barrier.

Hilti MIP refrigeration pipe ring

A clear shortening of installation time due to: Simple and quick prefitting of pipes using a single-screw pipe ring with

safety catch (main sizes). Easy fitting of insulating unit (self-adhesive closure). No sealants required.

Features Designed for standard thicknesses of insulating material (material: elas-

tomeric caoutchouc). Excellent joint between refrigeration pipe ring and insulating material

(elastomeric caoutchouc). Completely isolated system (no thermal short-circuits). Integrated vapour (diffusion) barrier. Acoustic-insulated system.

Product free from asbestos, fibres, formal dehyde, silicone and CFCs.
