RATIONALE

The Skills Technolympics will showcase marketable products and performances in the different skills acquired by the students in the various specializations of Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) and Technical Vocational Education (TVE). This is open to all high school students enrolled in both public and private high schools all over the Philippines.

MECHANICS

Eligibility The Skills Technolympics shall be participated

in by bonafide students enrolled in public (General or TechVoc) or private high schools during the school year 2015–2016;

The school principal shall certify that the students are enrolled in the field of specialization where they are participating;

Skills Exhibition

The division shall identify the participants per event as specified in the event packages. Participant may only join in one event.

Bazaar

One bazaar for the whole Division. Each school will showcase 1 product and 1 service.

Mechanics of Judging

The products and performances of participants in all events shall be judged by three members of the Board of Judges composed of experts, practitioners, service providers or professionals.

Judges will use the prepared score sheets for both products and performances. Points given to each of the participants shall be added by each member of the Jury.

Mechanics of Judging

The total scores of each participant shall be ranked with the highest total number of points as rank one,

The event secretaries and contest administrators, shall review the computation and ranking made by the judges. The participant with the highest total number of points shall be declared the WINNER.

Mechanics of Judging

The final results shall be reviewed by the members of the Board of Judges before affixing their signatures in the summary sheet.

In case of a tie, triple tie or a quadruple tie, the participant who finished first will be declared as the “champion”.

The decision of the Board of judges is final and irrevocable.

Mechanics for Judging the Bazaar Exhibits (Most Enterprising Award)

Entry products and performances from each division will be judged based on certain criteria set by the regional Committee composed of Specialists and representative from DTI.

REQUIREMENTS

All contestants should submit the following: Certified photocopy of Form 137 (at least the

first grading grade are reflected) Recent 2x2 or passport size photo (3 pcs.) Photocopy of Official School ID School Principal Certification of contestant’s

enrolment during the present school year.

signed by their respective School Head, indicating the subject taught and area of specialization.

Requirements 1-5 should be placed in a long brown envelope per event, indicating the name of the contestant and event to be participated in, name of school and division at the upper right corner of the envelope.
