Modifier for PU Polymers Used for Leather Coating

- For Formulators Only -

A hybrid polyurethane polymer partially composed of Carbinol terminated silicone fluids

to provide elegant and virtually permanent means of delivering silicone-like properties to

resin systems with maintaining the original characteristics of polyurethane polymer

Application

Leather coated with the silicone/PU hybrid polymer may exhibit the flexibility,

leveling, gloss, slip/release, mar resistance, water resistance, whether-ability and

thermal stability at wide temperature range

Benefits

to leather

• Linear polydimethylsiloxane fluids terminated with primary carbinol (= hydroxyl-alkyl)

group that are capable for normal alcohol reactions

• Functionalize with reactive organic groups capable of forming non hydrolyzable covalent

bonds with a variety of resin systems such as polyurethanes and polyesters
