Installation Instructions 1. The Ethernet cable supplied is shielded. The supplied RJ45 connector has a metal covering. The shield is to be kept in such a manner that it gets contact with the metal part of the RJ45 connector after crimping. Ensure continuity of each pair and the metal part of the RJ45 connectors. The ODUs should have atleast 1 to 2 meters separation. ODUs should be away from working antennas by atleast 1 meter. Connect master ODU1 to master base unit 1. Connect master ODU 2 to master base unit 2. Connect accordingly at the slave end also. ODUs are MAC binded. It wont work if wrongly connected. Connect One antena vertically and the other horizontally. Do the same for their counterparts at the slave end.

Installation Instructions Connect the laptop to the master base unit1( change the IP address of the laptop to 192.168.0.165 or so) Ping 192.168.0.1 If there is reply, it means you have successfully pinged the master ODU1. Ping 192.168.0.2 If there is reply, it means you have successfully pinged the slave ODU1 through the air interface. Connect the laptop to the master base unit 2 Ping 192.168.0.3 If there is reply, it means you have successfully pinged the slave ODU2. Ping 192.168.0.4.If there is reply, it means you have successfully pinged the slave ODU2 through the air interface.

Installation Instructions Install the PUTTY software in the laptop .Open the PUTTY s/w . Connection type : SSH , Port: 5556 Select : open Login:root pw: vnlggn@21b # athstats 0 This will give the status of the radio. Now, see the input, output , CRC error, PHY, RSSI values Input and output should come very close. If they are different by big numbers it means there is heavy packet loss. Phy and CRCvalue should be less than 5 RSSI should be around or better than 50.

Installation Instructions If the values are beyond the limits, ask the rigger to slowly align the ODU until you get desired values. Repeat this for the standby ODU also. Open a new PUTTY window for the remote end. Run the same command and see the values. Make the alignment proper so that link is healthy and error free. The Air interface LED in IDU will glow permananet green. The beep sound from the ODU will be continuous. But if the error is there even after getting good beep, and if the alignment is very good, try changing frequency from the air interface window of the NMS S/W.

NMS Application Connect the management PC to the LAN port of IDU. Double-click the Shyam Transmission System icon on the desktop, or click Start > Programs > Shyam Transmission System. The dialog box appears to login into the application Login:admin PW:admin
