Showtime

The Facilitation Team normally has a bit

more to say in terms of an introduction and

encourages questions of comments

throughout the presentation.

This sets the stage for ample interaction.

Typically a "body parts" exercise helps to

warm the group up to interactions and learn

something about themselves. In this case

the "Leg Wiggle" was used. The point is

that our brains have worn a groove that

typically encourages habit to take over our

actions. We can overcome these habits and

use a full range of our brain power if we

make that choice. This theme is repeated

several times as it relates to the RGB and

the Workshop theme - leadership!

Engaging in the SPOONS Simulation...

SPOONS Simulation

See "SPOONS Photos" at

www.ltodi.com/Key.htm ...

"SO" Invitation...

SO stands for Significant Observations.

This is normally a 15 to 20 minute exercise

during which participants provide their

SO's about engaging in the SPOONS

Simulation and what that had/has to do with

the theme of the workshops - Leadership.

Twenty-three SO's were advanced and

discussed during the time allotted. Over the

years we've collected well over 100 distinct

observations that link SPOONS to real life

conditions! This makes SPOONS a highly

reliable interactive and fun exercise with

consistently proven results! Some

observations could easily be the topic of a

follow through strategic initiative.

RGB Lecturette...

There are three parts to the lecturette:

1. Emphasize that everyone has all three

colors - Red, Green, and Blue.

2. Transition from SPOONS. This is

designed to link the RGB with playing

SPOONS. Behaviors are observable while

playing SPOONS that come alive in

everyday life. Placing the cards in order is

RED. Helping others play the game is

GREEN. Trying to change the rules of the

game is BLUE.

3. Describe each of the categories

sufficiently that participants will likely

know their primary color. When the

facilitator is comfortable in this they can

transition to the Reveal!

Reveal Activity...

The Facilitation shows their RGB Profile

results to the participants with a further

explanation based on the behaviors that

participants have likely observed.

Participants are asked to OPEN their

envelope, wear their beads proudly, and

review the contents of the file: RGB

Individual Profile and potentially a

Comparison Profile and a Composite (for

Chapter Leaders).

A period of questions and answers continues

the learning. This will usually take from 10

to 30 minutes depending upon the size and

openness of the group.

Questions are typically asked about the

links between the RGB and the theme of the

presentation at this point. The group was

asked about how accurate the results

seemed to be - only 2 people in over 100

weren't sure they were properly typed!

Task Instructions...

Each of the 18 tables has a pre-made Chart

with Red, Green, and Blue markers in a

plastic container prepositioned before the

event. The Charts from each table begin

below.

The design allowed for people to stay at

their table (preferred) or join any table that

contained others from their Chapter.

Each table was asked to select a recorder.

Table mates were to react to the headings:

1. Strengths

2. Irritants (this color irritating

others)

3. Connectivity to the Leadership

Key Points...

This provided an opportunity for the

Facilitation Team to emphasize the six

points on the chart to the left.

It was also an opportunity to distribute

Lincoln Penny Pins as a symbol of

leadership. The Lincoln Penny is the only

US coin with a presidential image in full

RIGHT profile.

QWLC links this unique symbol to the last

line on the back of the RGB Individual

Profile with the appropriate label of

"Leadership" which defines the six

leadership RIGHTS!

RED - Right thing at the Right time.

GREEN - Right people in the right place.

Blue - Right reason for the right risk.

Final Thoughts (and Questions)...

These were collected from the participants

throughout our time together. A record was made

but not published to the group. All are explained on

the "http://rgbprozone.blogspot.com/" Blog.

The Most Significant Questions:

Three participants had "balanced" numbers. What

are the implications?

Is it possible to obtain a comparison with a spouse or

partner? Yes

How many points create a clear dominance?

See postings at the QWLC eProzone Blog.

How can the RGB Individual Profile be validated?

See the Blog.

Can you explain the "Leadership 9" again?

Can you explain the " Swing" again and the

implications?

There seems to be alack of Green. How did that

happen?

You suggest homework. Can you explain the value?

Can we have the RGB Individual Profile on our

name badge?

How can we find out more about the RGB Inventory

reliability and validity?

What are the occupational implications of RGB?
