    Prof. Dr. Kwang Bum Park began his career in 1991 at the dental school ofKyung Pook National University as an assistant lecturer at the department ofperiodontics where he was awarded a PhD in 1995 with the thesis namedThe Periodontal Regeneration.

    In 1993, he opened his private practice in Daegu. At the same time he startedseminars for private dentists to teach clinical periodontics and implant den-tistry. To date, more than 1500 dentists have completed this course in Korea.From 2000 to 2001, he attended the Department of Periodontics, School of

    Dentistry, UCLA as a visiting professor. After returning from the UCLA, hegathered a group of dentists with specialist backgrounds to create a dentalhospital. In 2002, Dr Park opened the largest dental hospital in Korea calledMIR Dental Hospital hosting 70 surgeries, with more than 20 dentists and120 employees operating at Daegu, Korea. The project was a huge successand so he developed a dental hospital network known as the MIR Network.As of 2009, the network has 22 branches with more than 1000 employeesand doctors in South Korea.

    He is an active member of Academy of Osseointegration (AO) and also aninternational member of American Academy of Periodontology (AAP).

    Editor of the Cochrane Oral Health GroupAssociate Professor in Biomaterials with the SahlgrenskaAcademy at Gteborg University, SwedenEditor in Chief of the European Journal of Oral Implantology.

    Dr. Esposito graduated with honors in dentistry at the University of Pavia,Italy, in 1990 and was awarded a PhD in Biomaterials from the GteborgUniversity in 1999.

    He worked as Guest Researcher at NIOM (Scandinavian Institute of DentalMaterials), Haslum, Norway and is a specialist in Periodontics (UK).

    He also acted as the Director of the Postgraduate Dental Specialties coursesin Dental Implantology (Certicate, Diploma and Master), School of Den-tistry, University of Manchester, UK between 2007 and 2011, but now he hasdecided to be a freelance researcher and devote his time entirely to evidencebased research in dental implanto-logy.

    He authored more than 80 scientic publications in international peer-

    reviewed journals. His main research interests are the assessment of theeffectiveness of various therapeutic interventions with particular emphasis ondental implants.

    Dr Mark Hamburger qualied B.D.S (University of Witwatersrand 1984) wherehe was awarded the prestigious B.Ch.D. (Hons) University of Pretoria 1985.

    He has since built up an enormous experience as a clinician, as a lecturerand as a published author.Regarded as a leader in the eld of prosthodontics he has been instrumentalin the design and production of computer guided implantology. Following hisposition as Senior Lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand, Depart-ment of Prosthodontics. Mark was invited to be the Head of implantology at

    the dental division of Boots the chemist.

    Mark is currently the clinical director of Portman Healthcare and senior lec-turer at the Portman Academy.

    Dr Hamburger has previously lectured at the following institutions:New York University, Post Graduate Implantology Program;University of Ann Arbor, Michigan post graduate periodontics program;University of Loiusianna, New Orleans;Bethesda Naval Post Graduate Dentistry Program; Bethesda Hospital,

    Washington D.C.
