Hard to employ1000+ ages 18-34Whats In the WayThere is no one entity whose job it is to create a new structure, and a lot of entities whose job it is to maintain what we have.Lack of imagination. We have not decided as a community to create a new structure.Old habits of mind and behavior. Our current relationships across race, class and place.

Why Im OptimisticThe scale is manageable. The community is poised to make a significant capital investment in several sectors. Some school districts are intentional about solving their part of the problem (though they will need significant community collaboration).Much of the community has started the conversation about eliminating structural poverty and racism. We have the resources to succeed.
