Project:Monster SQL Server DB Administration Role: Project ManagerSupport various Monster Servers for SQL DB Administration. I have to support these applications at various levels. For some applications, Birlasoft only needs to mange backup and general database health. Monster does not use any real formal release cycles and does not maintain any source code as it is not necessary.

My team is working on the request received via tickets logged in Clarify queue or e-mail. Typically any request that originates from the Business Owners of servers belongs to this role. Task request will be specific and generally does not require knowledge of the application associated with the database server. Birlasoft offshore team only deals with the back-end data process. Generally, the application manager will contact the offshore team with the specific database issue through the

use of e-mail mostly. The following are some important points to be considered for BirlaSoft Offshore Team.

Primary contacts for each application record tickets in Clarify.

Assign the ticket to offshore support team through explicit e-mail request.

The offshore team should then go and search for the relevant ticket number in Clarify queue and likewise accept the ticket.

The offshore team has to check the ticket details and resolve the issues involved.

Once the issue is resolved then close the ticket.

Backup, Restore and Environmental Refreshes, (from Production to development) are common to most servers and they need to be done as per the set policy.

If any restoring from production server needs to happen then Monster-NOC (Network Operation Centre) sends a request for allowing the same as per the set process.
